Gamepad API plugin... so far, so good...
So, now with the gamepad API coming out soon to many major browsers, I had to take a detour to build in gamepad input for Mine Mars. I myself, can't wait to use my wireless XBOX 360 controller to play Mine Mars and other browser based games. When I first designed Mine Mars I was thinking about it as an XBOX 360 indie game. All the templating and world building controls are perfect for the XBOX 360 controller and other gamepads... it's very exciting!
So, I am writing a completely seperate plugin that anyone can use to get input from a gamepad. So far it is going very well and I finally have wrapped my head around a pretty complex situation where you could have mutltiple players using the same type of gamepad but want to map it to different actions... I have a simple solution in mind and a solid direction that could open up some pretty sweet doors.
