On November 1st I am planning to release Sunday by Sunday III, the third and final book in my series of small town church fiction. Retired English teacher and woman of faith, Rose Harris, is the main character. With disarming humor and a faith strong enough to doubt, Rose engages fully with four generations of family, stands by the colorful characters at her church through all circumstances, and befriends teens in trouble, spouses left alone by divorce or death, resident aliens, non-believers, and prisoners. Please visit www.sundaybysunday.com for more about the series.
All three of the books are available in standard print, LARGE print, and as e-Books. Each of the books, or the whole series, would make ideal Christmas gifts for the church goers on your list. You—or the persons you designate—will receive them no later than December 1.
The deadline for the drive is set early enough so that I can make a decision about how many books I can afford to print. With the off-set printing option I choose, the more printed, the more economical.
This campaign is so exciting to me because you can be a part of my writing enterprises! If you become a backer at any level, you will receive updates as the drive develops about how we’re doing in meeting our goal.
One of the many features of Kickstarter that I appreciate is the alternative it provides to buying a perfunctory gift in an impersonal store. And you’re not only giving something unique and well-suited for the special people in your life; you’re also supporting creativity and the arts and commerce!
What will the funds be used for?
All monies contributed will go toward the publication of Sunday by Sunday III in standard and LARGE print editions and as an e-Book. If we achieve beyond the goal, funds will be used for additional marketing items such as 1—attractive gift boxes to sell the books as a set, 2—recording an audio edition of the books, and 3—designing and printing a Sunday by Sunday blank journal with graphics and quotations from the books.
How else can I help?
Thanks for asking! You can make a great contribution by sharing the link to this project with your friends by Forwarding and/or posting on Facebook, Tweeting, etc. And nothing is worth more than good, old fashioned word-of-mouth, so please tell your friends at church and book club, etc. about Sunday by Sunday.
Where can I learn more?
Yes, please visit www.sundaybysunday.com for critical reviews and readers’ comments. You’ll also find information about Cristy Fossum as a speaker and program leader along with her schedule of events, current and past. And you can e-mail her from her website as well as connect with her blog and Facebook page.
