Who is The Luck of Eden Hall?
Our band has definitely built up momentum in the past couple of years releasing three full length CDs and six videos in the United States as well as a Double LP, two EPs and a slew of singles on compilations throughout Europe. Every release has been touted by critics as our best to date, and making "Best of the Year" lists around the world, the pressure is on us to raise the bar even higher. Our new album, Victoria Moon, will be a Limited Edition (300) CD, housed in a gate-fold sleeve, including a booklet with lyrics and liner notes, each hand numbered and assembled. Sassafras Overcoat, the first single, is already out and receiving excellent reviews and airplay. Victoria Moon may just be the one to break through.
In order for this breakthrough to happen we need to go where we're getting the most attention and right now that's in Europe, particularly the UK, and Greece where we're currently on the front cover of Wild Thing magazine. Bucket Full of Brains (UK) has interviewed Curvey for their June issue, to promote our gig with The Pretty Things in London on August 10th. Recently Shindig! Magazine (UK) held a contest in our honor and we were included on the cover-mount CDs in both Classic Rock Magazine (UK) and TimeMazine (Greece).
We've accepted an offer to play in the Summer Fruits de Mer All Dayer sponsored by Record Collector Magazine in the heart of swinging London on Saturday, August 10th, with legendary band The Pretty Things, which will give us a chance to hob knob with some industry folks and fans. We've also booked another show on Friday August 9th in Wales and we're working on a few more, possibly in Glasgow and Sheffield, hoping to pack our stay with events to promote both the Butterfly Revolutions LP and Victoria Moon CD.
Our last few CDs have been self released and recorded at home. Curvey creates all of the artwork, Lofgren creates all of the videos, and they both write the songs. The sampler above includes final mixes for five of the songs to be included on Victoria Moon leaving seven or eight more to complete along with the artwork, and we're very excited to get the CDs ready for this campaign! Last year's Alligators Eat Gumdrops made "Best of 2012" lists around the world with many copies sold overseas. Now we really need to cultivate our European successes and keep building the momentum that's been started by the record labels we're working with for our vinyl LP releases.
The current trend by indie labels is to release Limited Edition Vinyl records and pay the artist with product instead of cash. The label pays for all pressing and printing costs with a small budget for advertising, but none for tour support. The artist is issued a limited amount of product to sell and gets to keep all profits made from these sales. We've held on to most of our copies to be used as premiums for this campaign. In other words, we're getting great exposure but there is practically no money coming in. So we thought we would put together this campaign, with special incentives and a chance for you to take part in the journey!

Risks and challenges
If this campaign is successful we need to finish recording and manufacturing Victoria Moon by August! We need to get our guitars safely shipped and find a Mellotron for Jim to use in while we're in the UK. We need to get the word out to all of our UK fans and get a reviewer or two out to the show in London and we need to find places to sleep!
If this campaign isn't successful we need to start swimming now to make it there by August 10th!
Opening for a major act in the UK at this opportune moment is really one that we can't afford to miss and we're looking to you for support and a bit of extra fun!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
