The Sweater Back deck is an ordinary deck of Bicycle® playing cards which have been altered, ever so slightly, in order to dedicate our love for the argyle sweater pattern.
Producing custom playing cards through The United States Playing Card Company is costly. The company is the most recognized playing card manufacturer and has over 130 years of experience. It comes with a cost to utilize the Bicycle® brand and they require a minimum order of 2,500 decks!
So we need a lot of enthusiasm for argyle to make this deck a reality! If we can raise enough money, we will be able to produce the entire set through our stretch goals. But first we need to reach our funding goal of $10K!
Add-on for $20 each ($25 in Canada & $35 for the Rest of the World).
Add-on $7 to your pledge for each deck and/or uncut sheet that you would like autographed/signed. The total number of decks and uncut sheets with signatures will be released via project update once all the orders are in.
After you have selected a reward, you may add-on to this reward by adding on the cost for additional decks, uncut sheets and/or signatures. You can do this by clicking on the blue "Manage" button next to your pledge. Simply add the cost for the items you want to your existing pledge amount and keep your reward selection the same.
Use the chart below to determine add-on prices for decks, uncut sheets & signatures.

Risks and challenges
Risk one (1): This is my first design project and this will be the first time I will be submitting designs to the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). The risk identified is with the schedule that I have laid out below. If for any reason there needs to be changes to my designs to support a formatting request by the USPCC for example, this will take time for me to resolve, which leads me to Risk two (2): I have a full time job that could potentially keep me from reacting quickly to any design changes needed as in the example provided above or when it comes time to deliver orders.
However, I have reserved vacation time from work when the decks are in so that I can dedicate a week or two to packaging and shipping orders.
As for my qualifications: I have my MBA from the College of William & Mary and my undergraduate is in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University. I have been trained in the Nuclear field and I have been a Nuclear Engineer for over 13 years. I have excellent organizational and long term planning skills. I have laid out a timeline based on typical turnaround times provided to me by the USPCC.
This first design is intentionally simplistic and I've utilized all the templates provided by the USPCC.
The design is complete and has been approved by The United States Playing Card Company legal department.
The timeline for this project (best case scenario) is as follows:
Thirty five (35) days for fund raising. ECD is 3/28/2015
Fifteen (15) days for payments to clear. ECD is 4/12/2015
Five (5) weeks (plus) to finalize the art process with USPCC. ECD is 5/17/2015
Five (5) weeks (plus) for production. ECD is 6/21/2015
One (1) week for shipping and receiving. ECD is 6/28/2015
Two (2) weeks (plus) for packaging and shipping all orders. ECD is 7/12/2015
- (35 days)
