About
I am looking to shoot a modern adaptation I wrote of Samuel Beckett's famous minimalist play " Waiting for Godot" entitled " Waiting for the G" about two guys waiting for the subway line that never seems to come. For those not in the NYC area the G train is a notoriously never arriving, takes forever, avoid at all costs subway line that goes from Brooklyn to Queens.
The play has 4 actors and will be shot entirely in a single G train subway station in less than a week.
The money I am seeking is to cover the minimal costs of a small crew and cast as well as basic amount of equipment. We already own the Camera it'll be shot on so equipment expenses will mostly be to cover sound, basic lighting equipment and camera accessories like lenses, tripods, filters etc..
Everyone will work for a very minimal amount of money, sacrificing financial gain for artistic expression and the chance to make something that can effect today's society the same way in which the source material affected its.
