Fulfillment Nears Completion: Shipping Update 8

A fine day to all you residents of Gloomhaven!

Another week has passed, and our journey is almost at an end. Bittersweet for sure, but I definitely am looking forward to a time when the chaos from fulfillment has died down and answering emails is no longer a full-time job.

But we don't need to dwell on that! These are happy times! People around the world are playing Gloomhaven and rejoicing! Let's check in on the various fulfillment regions.

China/Hong Kong/Taiwan: Communication with One Moment saw some improvement this week, and I can confirm that all boxes have been shipped at this point (other than a few cases where I personally messaged the recipient earlier today for phone number corrections). They were sent in two waves, and the second wave just went out. They have also supplied me with tracking information on all the orders, so if you didn't receive a shipping notification from them for whatever reason, let me know and I will get the tracking information to you.

Australia/New Zealand: Nothing new here. Everything seems to be safely delivered. Aetherworks is great!

Canada: The roll-out here went like I expected the US roll-out to happen. A week later, all copies have been shipped without any problems. If you haven't received a package or shipping notification at this point, let me know.

U.S.: Well, all Kickstarter copies have been delivered by this point, so that's good, but those blasted retail copies...I've still got about 100 orders that haven't gone out. The freight shipment has been fully received at this point, but we're still waiting on some shipping from the receiving center to the fulfillment centers before the rest can go out. This is so monumentally frustrating, but the good news is that the copies are there and have been accounted for, so everyone who ordered from me will definitely receive a copy. It is just a matter of waiting.

Also if you are waiting on a replacement copy or something I forgot to include in your order the first time around, those should be going out next week. Sorry for the delay on that too.

EU/Rest of the world: It looks like pretty much everything has gone out from Happyshops at this point. There were a handful of address errors, but we're working on those. And there also seemed to be a pervasive error where people expecting exactly two copies of the miniature version only received one, but Happyshops has been very helpful and responsive, and we're getting those issues solved as quickly as possible. They also wanted me to share this video of Gloomhaven shipping in action with you. I think it's pretty cool. It's in Dropbox, so I can't put it directly on the page, but here is the link.

What else is there to say? Oh, right, the other big news of the week is that Josh and I released a "creator pack" of card templates, icons, and other stuff that people would find useful if they were to have a desire to create their own content for the game. You can find the post here. I am excited to see what will come of it!

In addition, I am absolutely dumbfounded by how quickly Gloomhaven continues to rise through the BGG rankings, given that it hasn't been in your hands for very long. We're currently at 229 and rising frighteningly fast.

A lot of people are very interested in when this reprint is going to happen and how it is going to happen, but, unfortunately, I don't have anything new to announce about that. There is definitely a plan. It is definitely happening. But I need to nail down the exact dates and timeline before anything is official. If Amazon has taught me anything, it is to not throw around dates half-cocked.

All right, well, I guess I'll see you next week. Hopefully we'll be able to mark this adventure as 100% complete and put it to bed. Until then!

I got the game a week ago. But I'm not very happy with Happyshops packing. They put sheets of styrofoam on all 6 sides, which is nice, but what a game box that big really needed was strong proctection of the corners. Since the foam boards were not bound together, the corners were left unprotected. As a result, 3 out of 4 corners of the box's cover AND bottom are split open. And the party sheets got bent and Town record was bent and the seal broken. Very disappointing.
I think the game has demonstrated there's a limit to how big a game can be in a classic cardboard box. For the reprint, consider making a box with reinforced corners.

I received my copy today, I really wish Amazon Canada put some more thought in to their packaging. 3 corners of the inner box were broken apart at the seam about halfway down, and 1 corner of the cover is broke apart. But other then the box, everything else seemed fine. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but looking forward to the weekend :-)

I received my copy 3-4 days, awesome. :-) :-) Amazon Canada packaging leaves something to be desired though. Just and oversized box with 2-3 sheets of crumpled up brown packing (?) paper. The game box was flopping around loosely in it (presumably the whole trip). Luckily it just ripped a corner edge on the game box (a tough one at that), but nothing some clear packing/wide tape can't fix.

On the reprint, please Please PLEASE include an "upgrade component" pledge/for sale option of character boards with updated EXP and health tracking for those who backed the first Kickstarter :-)

Should I contact Happyshops if I received a shipping confirmation 10 days ago, but haven't received anything and the tracking number doesn't work?

I've only had a quick look through the box so far. I have two copies of sticker sheet 01 (locations), but one of sheet 02. It looks like that's all locations and that I just have a spare sheet 01 - that sound right?

When you say 100% complete, does that mean anything in relation to replacing damages components, like boxes with torn corners?

Very cool video indeed! How great of them to make one. My game arrived in perfect condition and I am grateful to Happyshops, they did a good job.
Thank you, Isaac, for this amazing journey and experience! Now excuse me, want to play some more :)

You have been amazing through this entire process. Will you still be at Geekway? I assume all your inventory is gone, My inventory is gone. What an amazing ride. I went all in on this expecting to sell out at BGG Spring. (12 standee and 12 mini copies) Delivering my last two copies to Wonko's Toys and Games on March 5th. BGG Spring is Memorial weekend. Even though my inventory went quickly, sold for $120 for either version. Yes I made a small profit from the standee version, I did not do the ebay scalper pricing.
Funny story one person in Austria bought a copy the post office messed up and it ended up in Australia. With much Drama it was only a day late. (sent a copy of Ghostbusters with 5 impossible mode taxi drivers for his pain).

Issac, have you reached out to VC for the reprint? Successful KS, with enough additional funds to make 2250 retail copies. Had 25k pre-orders.. I am sure the line of folks writing you checks would be very long.
