No Production Sample Yet: Manufacturing Update 8

Posted by Isaac Childres (Creator)

Greetings residents of Gloomhaven!

I'll just cut right to the chase here and let you know that while I was expecting to have a production sample to show off to everyone this week, the Chinese holiday National Day, which unintuitively lasts a whole week, got in the way, and I come to you empty-handed.

The good news is that the production sample is done, they just haven't had a chance to ship it yet. They will be hand-delivering it to my booth at Essen next week, where I will happily show it off to the whole world. I will also take lots of videos once I get it and share those as soon as I can.

So, yeah, not much more to say than that, unfortunately. My booth at Essen is 6-C124, so please stop by and say hi if you're attending. You'll be able to see the game in all its massive glory, even if you can't yet walk away with a copy of your own.

Until next time, when I most definitely will have more to share!

Isaac, leaving us without a report about Essen and the unboxing video for so long is cruelty ;-)

No, I am joking, take your rest and hope you enjoyed the Essen and Europe
Also reading comments from who didn't like the game confirms that this is the perfect game for me! My hype never fall down :-D

I'm excited to hear the reviews from Essen! Do you plan to be at BGG con in November?

Keep up the good work Isaac! We understand it's out of your control and we can feel the frustration in this message. Keep patient and good luck at essen!

I'll be at SPIEL on thursday and will visit you 100%!
Is there any news of the production overall? Is it moving along smoothly?

Can't attend Essen this year. Moving to a new flat on the Essen weekend, with our 7m old.

All the best for Essen! If work wasn't piling up on my desk, I'd think about going there ...

Yes, please, lots of photos and videos from Essen for those of us who can't go! I am really looking forward to that.
(I was so sure I would go this year, but now I'm on a different continent.)

I lol'd at this one. A production without silly delays like this just couldn't be real.

Again, don't rush it, make it great!

Isaac, though I'm sure you get this quite often, I would just like to show my appreciation for your regular updates.

Good news, bad, neutral, even barely anything of note you still keep in contact. That is, in my opinion, a quality all kickstarter creators should practice.

I don't tend to actively engage with comment sections and the like but I wanted to thank you for your continued commitment, passion, and communication.

      So, yeah... Thanks
      Keep up the good work.

Cool, I'll definitely come by and say hi. (I am very recognizable, wearing a shirt with 'Scuba' on it)
