Gloomhaven Vacation: Production Update 2

Posted by Isaac Childres (Creator)

A merry welcome to you residents of Gloomhaven!

I am currently on vacation! It's great!

Last time I told you I'd have a white box and the proofs to show you, but the process is taking a little longer than expected, due to the large amount of materials. I know, that's become the theme of the Kickstarter, but it just means that the game will be awesome when you finally get it!

Some new miniatures arrived at my house (fixing some of the minor mistakes from the last batch) along with samples of the wooden components, so that's something. Unfortunately, I'm not at my house, so I can't really show you those either. Sorry.

What I will use this update for instead is to emphatically state that if you are planning on changing your pledge in any way through Paypal, this is the last weekend to do so, because the final numbers for each version are going to the printer. If you've already made changes (sending money through Paypal) or have no desire to change your pledge, then don't worry about it. Everything is good. No need to message me. Just go about your merry life.

I know there are a few people that have sent money through Paypal recently that I haven't confirmed yet. Sorry about that, I will get back to you soon!

I think I've run out of things to say. There will be a more exciting update in two weeks! I promise!

Were it most other projects, this kind of update would be upsetting. Coming from a project where the developer has been very frequent and detailed with the updates, I'm not at all worried. Take your time, you've earned a vacation and we understand some delays. The game is going to be all the sweeter when it arrives.

I'd say you deserve a vacation. Enjoy!

Take your time. Now that you think its finished,... I'd go and test it again, like test every scenario with 2-3 groups. Let peeps learn the game JUST AND ONLY from the rules as written, etc.

      ... my 2 cents.

I don't mind the extra wait for a quality product, which this certainly has the feel of.

Thanks for keeping us up to date Isaac - good to see you finally taking some R&R - you've certainly earned it, and we appreciate your steady stream of communications and updates - which is a comfort to backers of any project. Thanks again for all you do!

Just an FYI, this post isn't about updating your address. You have plenty of time to do that. It's just about updating your monetary pledge to adjust what you ordered.

Glad to hear you're having a vacation finally. At least most of the work for you is done now, a breather well deserved. Enjoy the vacation, and hope to hear about shipping soon. >)
