Almost there! And with 16 (!) days to go…
As I am writing this we have reached 95% funding, with 16 days left to go. We are closing in on our dream to make this perfect thermometer come true!
Now that we have our target within reach we have intensified our efforts for production even further. We have contracted a well reputed technical company to fully set final assembly, quality control and fulfillment process.
New questions from backers
A couple of new questions that came up since the last update:
- The immersion depth: It is equal to 3 mm (0,12”). This means that the 9 cm (3,54“) probe must be inserted into the food or fluid with 3 mm (0,12”) to achieve the correct reading. These are great results.
- The heat sensor: We have earlier stated that the accuracy of the heat sensor is +- 1° C (1,8° F) but want it to be more exact, with less than 0.5° C (0,9° F) on temperatures between -50° C (-58° F) to +100° C (212° F).
Please be aware that the statistics per country, under the headline Community on our Kickstarter page, have not been updated since a week back. Our number of backers in, for example, USA and Australia is much, much higher than presented. We have reported this issue to Kickstarter.
