"What if everyone in the world decided to talk to each other?"
My name is Robbie. I am a 26 year old with a dream and a plan. After quitting my job working in the United States House of Representatives, I set out on a backpacking journey to prove that amazing things happen when you meet new people. For the past 9 months I have been backpacking around the world, through 17 countries sharing stories and experiences with total strangers met along the way. From feeding monkeys in Malaysia to climbing into the pyramids in Egypt, I have met some of the most fascinating people with the most interesting stories and backgrounds. It is refreshing to say that mom was wrong, we should talk to strangers...how else do we make friends?
After turning down a $20,000 offer to turn my footage into a documentary, I decided to try something different and create the world's first documentary about strangers, funded by strangers. This 90 min. documentary will restore faith in humanity and will prove that strangers are not so scary after all. In fact, some of the greatest opportunities in life lie in the people you walk past everyday.
It is a cool feeling to make my first movie, but it will be an even cooler feeling to say that strangers from around the world made it happen!

Risks and challenges
I TALK TO STRANGERS is possible only because of you; a total stranger. This has been an amazing year and the ITTS team has been working hard to give an honest attempt at leaving a positive impression on the world. Led by a young and energetic staff, ITTS has exploded on the global stage as a voice of opposition towards mom's childhood warning of "Don't talk to strangers!"
Your support of our campaign helps to push out this new idea that meeting new people is actually needed to improve personal and professional relationships! In fact, don't all friends start off as strangers?
Our biggest risk is not being successful with this Kickstarter campaign and therefore being unable produce the documentary to spread the message to the world! Of course, there are always unforeseen problems and risks, but our team, collectively, have many years of experience to help us improvise and get through difficulties. We will keep you all posted on our progress and pitfalls!
Any delays in production will be communicated to you, the film's producers and financial backers. We will also provide monthly updates of the film's developments.
As we continue to grow and develop, we will be sure to keep you updated on the progress and activities of the movement. Thank again for your support and contact us anytime at email@example.com. We would love to hear from you!
