I have been writing music and playing guitar since I was 9. This is my first time in the studio to ever record any of my music.

Thank you all for all of your support! I am so beyond grateful to everyone of you everyday! -Jenny

P.S. The photo is of the SB Mission at night - I used to sing inside the mission with choir when I was younger - the acoustics in there will floor you. One of my favorite spots easily!

Sometimes Hell is the Most Beautiful Place of All...

Many of you know that my Dad passed away about 4 months ago, which somehow feels like yesterday still. I was on a run this morning and decided to leave him yet another phone message ( since his cell phone is still turned on - and just so we're clear, I am aware that I may be slightly unstable to be leaving my deceased dad phone messages..but that's a whole other topic that I won't bore you with). As I was talking to him and telling him about what was going on in my life and with music, I realized that so much positive has come in this period of time that at best has felt mostly awkward for me. I have felt distance from all my friends, felt confused about where I wanted to go with my career, at times felt overly emotional and at other times felt totally numb...but something has been happening despite my apprehension, something wonderful. I am nearly done with an album that has taken over a year to make and that started as a 4 song EP and has ended up being a 9 song, full length album. I am starting an amazing non-profit called Girls Rock SB, which I will tell you all more about at a later date, but it's chugging away happily in the world. I'm healthy, my kid's healthy, we live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth....life is actually GREAT! So here's a little teaser of "Big Sur". You can hear the beautiful harmonies on it :) Hope each and every one of you are doing well. Love, Jen
