My name is Austin McAdams. I am the sole founder and designer for McAdams Co. I have my education in furniture design and wood work. I have designed and made the only tie bar made exclusively from wood. Design Patent Pending. McAdams Co's products will remain, whenever possible, manufactured in house. I want to keep a business that respects the made locally mentality. Each product available is made with American hardwoods which are more sustainable than their exotic wood counterparts.

Break Down of Product Description for Rewards
Tie bars and men's accessories are just the beginning. As McAdams Co grows, I will be growing the product line into other areas of design. Products ranging from and not limited to, house and office goods, lifestyle products, and eventually furniture. I want McAdams Co to be a household name associated with responsible, well-designed hand crafted goods.
As I have been selling under my old brand almost half of my sales were for groomsmen. These tie bars are a great twist on a classic gift for your groomsmen. When you order in multiples special care is taken to assure that your tie bars will be cut from the same tree. I like to think that it adds a extra bond between groomsmen knowing they share a piece from the same tree.
Keep in touch as I launch my site and begin adding more products.
I can not thank you all enough for any support to help me achieve my goal. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Risks and challenges
As well as designing the tie bar I have used the help of a 3D modeling program to engineer the clamping mechanism to press the veneer to facilitate the process. These clamps are made by me and I have made a several, so even now I can produce a good size quantity. I have already started stocking up to get ready for this Kickstarter campaign to make sure I can fulfill these orders as quickly as possible. I have also assembled a small team of makers that are excited about what I am doing. They have been helping me recently get ready and have accepted free lunches as payment. I plan to hire them as employees as soon as the Kickstarter campaign is coming to a close. With these clamps and the extra man power we can make several hundred in a week. I am confident I will get my product to you in a timely manner. I appreciate you time and patience, Thank You.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
