You can't be the life of the party... when you're dead.
Kelly was going to throw the greatest Halloween party of all time... but then she died. When her friends decide to throw it anyway, Kelly comes back to show them who the life of the party really is.
"Halloween Party" is a 25-minute short horror/comedy about a grieving friend, some hard party-goers and a dead girl who wants to dance. It's filled with as many scares as it is offbeat laughs.
We've got a cast, a crew, locations, dates and deadlines. The budget is small--just enough to get the props make-up we need to turn a regular party into a zombie party. With your help, we can do just that.
We've had success in the past with our previous works, such as the webseries Dino Hunter MD, and are now looking to expand our horizons and make something that can't be missed. "Halloween Party" will try to make its round at every festival there is. We're in talks already for a premiere screening at a local theater.
The digital release is on October 31st. Through our online network alone this movie will be seen by thousands. From there, the sky's the limit.
Any backing will be used to make this movie possible, and in just a few weeks time. We work quickly and well into the night, so when we say this movie will be released on Halloween, you can bet that's when it'll be out. But first we need your help.
First and foremost, the pledges will go towards props, make-up and set design. After that, the remaining budget will go towards paying our actors and then crew. Although some of the cast and crew are willing to volunteer their time, sets and make-up will always be a big expense.
The movie's digital release will be on October 31, 2012. Theater screenings are in talks right now and festivals will be determinant on acceptance.
Short Horror, 20-25 minutes.
1080p HD digital video.
5.1 Digital Surround Sound, 2.0 Stereo Sound Option.
Yes. We spent about $90 in materials to make the cemetery table and zombify our actress, and everyone volunteered their time over a two day build and shoot to make it happen. The purpose is to show what we're capable of when it comes to this movie. Depending on continuity, we'll either reuse the shots in the final film or re-shoot the scene.
Return of the Living Dead is a great example. Fido, Slither, Dead Alive, Re-Animator... anything that's horror first and foremost but still has plenty of laughs. The more offbeat, the better.
Probably the best question, and with the simplest answer:
Because it's what we do.
This movie will get the best exposure, and ultimately that's the goal.
We've been in the business for almost five years and have worked on a webseries, music videos, commercials and short featurettes. Our profile will link to our Vimeo account, Facebook and our Website.

Make more movie.
At $2,000 we could expand the movie into a feature-length and shoot it over a week instead of a weekend. The more we have, the more we can do. $600 is our goal because that's what we need to make exactly what we have planned now.
