Kickstarter Review by A Life in Games

Forged By Geeks - Game Session

- Funding Goal: The Kickstarter pledge amount covers the costs associated with Kickstarter and fees (-9%), manufacturing, ocean freight, insurance, loading/unloading, transportation, customs, duties, taxes, tariffs, short term warehousing, service fees and individual shipping.
- We Need You: We can't manufacture, ship and cover all the fees without your support.
- Personally invested: We are personally invested (time and money) and committed to the success of our project.
- Art and Promotion: 100% of the art assets are complete and we have promoted the game through various social media, conventions, and websites.
- Quality: Over the past two years, we visited local gaming stores (FLGS), local libraries, numerous conventions and playtested the game with 100+ people.

We cannot avoid the reality that shipping costs can be variable and expensive. We are using Jamey Stegmaier's method and will use experienced bulk shipping and fulfillment companies around the world to facilitate lower cost shipping, customs, and VAT fees. We will cover any additional costs for shipping. Our backers will have no reason to worry about anything regarding the shipping process because we are using the best at what they do.
- FunAgain will deliver games to USA backers
- Starlit Citadel will deliver games to Canadian backers
- Gamesquest will deliver games to European backers
- VFI will deliver games to Asia backers
- VFI and Gamesquest will deliver games to Rest of the World backers

We love our gaming stores (FLGS) and we want you to carry Dwarven Smithy in your store! Please email us at Flatworksgaming@gmail.com for bulk purchase options!

The Flatworks Team
Mike Warth (@MWarth) provides a unique perspective and background to the Flatworks Team. Mike has been an avid gamer most of his life and even started creating games at a young age. With Mike's life experience in a broad range of areas, his skills cross over nicely into running a game company. Mike earned a Master’s Degree in Business Informatics and he is a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Charlie Sinning (@ChasSinning) brings a wealth of experience in both technical fields and gaming fields to this endeavor. With over 30 years as a GM, Charlie has a real talent for making every game he runs into something exciting, engaging and most important, FUN. The world of RPG games is one he has been involved in, both as a GM and a player, since 1982. Charlie also has an interest in comic books and anime.
Craig Blythe (@papabearcab) is not your typical gamer, which is what makes him perfect for Flatworks. Craig has been the minister of youth at his church for the past 14 years and is currently the assistant youth pastor. Craig used to write stories and fairy tales to tell his children, now he stays fresh by writing stories and adventures letting his kids improvise off of those stories. Craig is excited and blessed to be working with two of his best friends in this new endeavor.

Risks and challenges
Overall, this project has minimal and typical risks associated with game manufacturing. The game manufacturer is ready to publish and the art and layouts are complete. Any additional changes will be complete prior to the end of the campaign. The game will ready for printing once we receive funds from Kickstarter.
As a small gaming company, we lack the funds to meet minimum printing and freight shipping requirements. Your pledges make this project come to print. We hope to produce a quality product and delivered on time.
With your help, our great backers, we will bring Dwarven Smithy to light.
