We will be sailing in order to reach the locations (starting with Haiti). We are doing this because it is in our skill set and because it is the best, most efficient way of reaching some of these places. The sailing element facilitates the Tribe Photo expeditions. It is a means to an end, the "end" being the Tribe Photo pilot project. Sailing also gives you the funders the opportunity to participate in this project in an unusual, adventurous way.
Here is an example of some of the places you can go aboard Libertas. Canaries (late Dec/early Jan), Martinique/St Lucia (late Jan), British Virgin Islands, Florida Keys (Feb), Cuba (Feb), Honduras (late Feb/early Mar), Panama Canal (Mar) and of course Haiti (Feb).
Not necessarily. We can sail during the day, at night or even just stay in a harbour the whole time; the week aboard is very flexible. If you would like to get involved with the Haitian pilot project, we will be living on board and working in the village during the day.
