Katie Mullins' Second Full-Length Album is Almost Here...
Since releasing my debut album, "Pastoral," in 2009, I've been busy writing the songs that will make up my second album. I’ve been recording at Japam Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn since last July, tracking vocals, my mbira, my baritone ukelele, and keyboards. Nick Kinsey of Elvis Perkins in Deerland played drums, Mike Irwin of Low Anthem played horns, and James Waldo of Spirits of the Red City played cello.
I’m super excited about the sounds we’ve created so far. But the album is not finished yet. With your help I hope to be able to:
- mix and master the album
- get album artwork made
- do publicity
- do a summer tour
By pre-ordering the digital download of the album you’ll help to ensure that these things can happen. And if you choose to pledge more, there are various items (at the right of your screen) that can be yours: voice lessons, hand-written lyrics, karaoke tracks, signed tour posters, house concerts...
I'm so excited to share these songs with you, and and so grateful for your help!
