As a parent I worry every time my child drives the car. Texting and driving is a major concern for any parent. Upon doing research there are only 5 apps which are currently labeled as "texting apps". However, NONE of them give control to the parent. This App gives PARENTS COMPLETE CONTROL over their child's ability to text or not text. This App will also give control to an Employer if they have drivers. Read on for more information.
HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS APP AND OTHERS AND WHY THIS APP IS IMPORTANT
What the app is:
This app is designed in a parent-child setting. What that means is the app has one (or more) controls whereby the "parent" has the controlling portion of the app and the "child" has the controlled portion. The "parent" can be an employer and the "child" the driver or employee. This app can support multiple "children" or drivers making it perfect for companies as well as parents.
(Parent Setting = Employer) (Child Setting = Employee)
Companies (for example:DSL or fed ex) Bus, truck or semi-Drivers
School Administration School Bus Drivers
Court System Texting offenders
How it works:
The app is downloadable and is a parent/child (as defined above) set-up. The parent is in control of the lock/unlock feature.
In a vehicle: When the vehicle reaches 10 mph it locks the texting capability on the phone. There is an automatic reply text which states the person is unavailable and will return the text later. It disables all chimes or noises so there is no distraction. It does not disable internet or phone. It also has a GPS so if the parent receives the auto text reply stating the child is driving/unable to return the text. The parent can hit the built-in GPS locator and it will show them where their child is.
What if the child is a passenger? The parent has control to set the texting lock and they can also unlock it. The child can inform the parent they will be a passenger and the parent can unlock the texting block so the child can text while still in the vehicle. This is also helpful as the child will be informing the parent where they are going, who is driving, etc. This must be done before the vehicle begins to move. Once the vehicle is moving they cannot unlock it. They will have to wait until the vehicle stops moving. The lock automatically discontinues blocking text messages 5 minutes after the vehicle has stopped moving. This is to prevent children from texting at red lights.
Is that all the parent can do? Nope there is more! The parent can lock it according to day/time schedules.
Block: [all day] or [1 hour] or [2 hours]
or block certain times i.e. from [9:00 am] until [12:00 pm],
or in the event of grounding from [9/12/2014] to [9/17/2014]
For example: If the child rides the bus the parent can unblock 9-12-2014 through 9-16-2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. (while the bus is moving). This way they do not have to do it each morning.
If a parent does not set the block it will not block texting unless the child is in a moving vehicle.
Calling is still available and it does not interfere with 911 or ICE.
The child cannot remove the app.
One account controls multiple "child" devices from multiple "parent" devices.
Hours/dates/times can be added, adjusted or removed at any time.
The device gives a warning to the parent when/if the child tampers with it or tries to remove the app.

Risks and challenges
The app coding can be extensive and difficult. I have experts working on the app and we will have to test and debug it. With the coding, company set up, patent lawyer, etc. the cost of bringing the app to market is upward of $100,000 - I need backing or investors to help make it possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
