      Dear "Nifty". I'd like to point out once again that after being assured that the drive would work on all MacBook pros, it does not fit my 17" macbookpro. I've discussed this before with you. The answer afterwards was that it wouldn't. I was treated with a "tough luck" attitude in emails.

      So, in light of the changes to the terms of use from Kickstarter, I'd really like you to make good on this, so that I can post a review on how well I was treated rather than how poorly.

      Finally after a long time I used the drive the first time in my MBP yesterday.
      Worst decision ever, my 64GB card got fried!!! Tried everything over the last couple of hours, doesn't work anymore.
      Now I have to buy a new one >:(

      After uncountable attempts at getting my rewards I finally nagged the right person and possibly at the right time so that I finally received my rewards in the mail last night... Too bad we can't all have the freedom to pick and choose our responsibilities like Nifty has evidently been doing. Break out the champagne - in a month it will be the beginning of 2013 (ok - well based on the receipt date relative to the estimated delivery date it should be Nov 2012).

      Hi guys, early on i received one of the first gen mini drives for macbook air but it doesn't work well. It always gets unmounted form my computer when it comes back from sleep.

      Hi. A long time ago, I received the drive that required the celo tape in order to work. I did that and they work fine, but I wasn't clear if that was what I was getting or if I would get one of the fully-functional products as well. Can you confirm? Thanks! Either way, it's a great product that I've been recommending to many friends (including a few at Apple, who seemed very impressed), several of whom have bought one (at least). So you've got a great product, and I'm glad to see it getting the respect it deserves.

      Still have my original mk1 nifty with both read only issue. Never had a chance to return them. Not willing to pay shipping. They now sit in a box collecting dust.

      I've not received my replacement, though I was awarded it via email Aug 2013, and the fulfillment site won't accept the password I was provided. Sent several messages to support without a reply, and have also messaged through Kickstarter. We're asked to "be respectful and considerate" on Kickstarter. How about a little of the same for your customers, Nifty? A reply would be appreciated -- better yet, send me my drive... please.

      My two mk3 have been working great since I got them last year... quick question, have you guys had the change to see if they work with the new SanDisk Ultra 128GB MicroSDXC Class 10/UHS-1 (Amazon has them for USD$120).

      I just received my Nifty Mini Drive from OWC... a 4gb model in Silver which is packed in a really sturdy 4.5" x 4.5" x .375" cardboard box with the Nifty logo (Manchester UK- made in China) and other printing.
      The Nifty removal tool is different.. not the logo laser cut out of steel but flat steel with the Nifty Squirrel logo laser cut into the tool with a hook on one side and a pokey end on the other all neatly packed in a red box with a Nifty One Year Limited Warranty.
      I removed the 4gb Kingston Micro SD HC card that came with the drive to see if the 64gb Sandisk Micro SD HC card that was originally offered to 'US' backers works with this Nifty.
      It works! Just wish I didn't have to pay twice to get the final product!

      If you're still waiting for your Mini Drive and haven't gotten it- here in the US a company called Other World Computers is selling the Mini Drive... might be the only way you get one!

      same here. it's a long wait. My Macbook Pro gonna be 2 years old soon and i have not seen the mini-drive. Tried emailing, but staff asked me to look out for updates here, and there is no news on expected shipping dates. =(

      Ordered a nifty drive from your site and it's arrived here to vancouver in less than a week. Thankfully as my MacBook Air has been crashing due to lack of available storage space.

      Plugged it in, and boom, instantly doubled my storage space. Looks like it was designed by sir Johnny Ive himself. This is a long overdue purchase, and a no brainier for anyone owning a MacBook Air.

      As a kick starter creator (STACT) I can appreciate the rollercoaster ride. But I'm glad to be here to testify that you guys came thru in delivering an amazing product.

      Anything planned next??

      I am a TRINITY-tier backer and, like Dan Dryden, I too have had read/write issues with the MK1 version. After reading about the tightness issue that some users have reported on the MK2s, I chose to wait for the MK3s instead. Well, the MK3s have finally arrived to me and thankfully they are all recognizable upon insertion and appear to function as expected; that's the good news.

      The somewhat-bad news is that, while I did receive 3 MiniDrives, one of them is the 2GB Micro SD card that Dan mentioned. The card appears to be built into the MiniDrive and is non-removable. This is disappointing since a 2GB MiniDrive is of much less use to me than what a swappable 64GB card can offer. So, if the 2GB non-removable MiniDrive is intended to be a bonus, then I am still out 1 MiniDrive.

      At this point, given all the delays and reading how there are still quite a few people who have not received anything, I'm thinking that I should just count my blessings and be glad that I at least have most of what I had pledged for. Thank you.

      Sorry to all those having problems with theirs - I had the read/write issue with MkI, and the tightness issue with MkII, which have all been promptly replaced (I just received my MkIII just 3 days after I sent the email) which works perfectly. They also sent a 2GB Micro SD card with it this time! (Seems to be a new feature as the packaging is labelled with 2GB). Well done - very happy customer!

      I send a mail on 13 jan that i didnt receive my 2 nifty's.
      On 15 jan i got a response to verify my adres details, after confirming i got a mail that the order is processed.
      On 16 jan a mail that they are shipped.
      At 22 jan they arrived (a silver and black retina).
      The silver one tested and it works (writing to microsd too).

      So, only my patience was tested, but with normal communication i got what was promised.

      I had a mk1 for a little while, it suffered the tape-didn't-help-auto-write-protect bug. I sent it back and never saw my silver mk1. Rumor had it the replacement mk3 blue and silver were to ship in November.... 2013, right? :-)

      Original backer. Have not had time to follow all the problems from this past year, just catching up.

      Cannot recommend this at all to anybody.

      Have both a Retina and Pro versions. Having problems with the a SANDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC card being recognized while in the Nifty. Works just fine with the SANDisk SD adapter (mounts on insert). Not mounted/recognized in the Nifty.

      Am really disappointed that this product does not work and this company appears to have been encountering continued problems throughout the year.

      Will I have lost my money? Will I be given a refund? Will I be given an exchange at some unspecified future time, that may or may not work?

      I hope for a response from the company in a timely fashion.

      just got a response, totally ignoring my email again.

      I re-pointed out as "you remember" I was suppose to get a MK1. As "you remember" I was suppose to get a MK 2. And as "you remember" we were told that this would ship months ago in the email. Oh and as "you remember" we were told it would ship in Oct. Finally as "you remember" it would ship end of Nov early Dec. Now they want me to believe that it will ship end of Dec.

      I asked for a refund (I have received nothing ever), and I got told (as the same for the last year) to wait and they thank me for waiting.

      What I would like to know is how people have received several (2, 3, 4) and some have received nothing.

      Better yet, as I upgrade my computer this Christmas, this will be useless. Oh, and don't say ask for one for the new one I am getting. I have waited a year for anything, I will be buying something else. And then better yet, what happens when it doesn't work like @Christian's copy? More waiting? More promises?

      I noticed that you ordered a coloured MiniDrive in the backer store. As you may remember from the email containing the coupon code, coloured MiniDrives require a custom manufacturing run and will be dispatched by the start of next week.

      Im now having the same experience as Ward Bowman. I was getting replies from emails asking what was going on and explaining that my non working sd card hadn't been replaced. I ask for a refund as I've not received anything from them apart from one damaged sd card,they then went silent.

      I expect to never receive my nifty drives and working sd cards or my money back. Basically I've had $70+ stole from me. Terrible customer support!!

      Nifty support was responding with "wait more" emails to my requests.
      They went silent once I asked for a refund.

      Last update from Dec was "a few more weeks" for the kickstarter green ones. And keep waiting, and we are deeply sorry that I haven't received anything for the last year.

      The 3rd Nifty MiniDrive Retina I received didn't fit in my MacBook Pro 15" Retina either. Nifty is offering a refund or said I can wait for the redesign. But, they don't have a timeline as to when the next version will be released.

      I never received anything from this campaign. I've been very patient, just sitting back and hoping that, with time, you would work out whatever kinks and I would eventually get something in exchange for my backing pledge nearly a year and a half ago...

      Could you please provide some update on when/if I will receive a product from you? If not, are there options to get my money back?

      It's been so long that the original computer I ordered this for is now my second/backup computer. Please advise.

      Was told by support, the it will be "a few more weeks" before the MK3s ship.
      Again, never received anything.
      Note the email with the coupon code said OCT ship. There was an email from Nov 5th that said end of Nov/early Dec. So support doesn't know the emails they send nor the order.
      A few more weeks. Never received anything but emails. Great. Never an offer for a non-kickstart colored drive cover while i wait. Just, "please wait, we know it is frustrating". For a product that is a year late.
      Now from support on DEC 2nd:
      As you may remember from the email containing the coupon code, colored MiniDrives require a custom manufacturing run and due to some additional QA procedures that have been added to the production line we are now expecting to ship in few weeks. We hope you can hang on for a few more weeks, and we'll get this out to you as soon as possible.
