My Debut Album!
A Little Background
When I was 16 years old I wrote my first song. Friends and Family urged me to record it but I was a kid and didn't have any money so it just got pushed aside. Skip ahead 5 years, many of songs and a few bands later, I still hadn't put any of my music on record. That is all about to change! I moved to Nashville because that is where the best of the best do their thing.
What's Stopping Me?
I am blessed to say that some of my closest friends are the best Nashville has to offer. That being said, they deserve to be paid for their awesome contributions to this record. I've already started production on "Play It Cool" and I am continuing to write and record (when financially possible) but that's just it, lack of funds has slowed this down to a crawl.
How You Are Helping
Your support is just as essential as the song writing and musicianship on this record. Simply put, without your backing and contributions, an EXTRAORDINARY record will not see the light of day!
Since leaving my hometown for Nashville Tennessee, I have had the chance to do some pretty cool stuff and play some really great music as well! I have tried my best to create a buzz and show Nashville what's up. Jon Hill of Bootleg Guitars says "Clean out both ears, keep your mouth shut and eyes wide open and soak in what THE ROB is dishing out, this ain't no honky tonk bullshit, this is MUZICK!". Jon is the finest guitar builder there is and I am proud to be playing his guitars! I've had the privilege of playing music with a lot of talented people and one of my favorite is Ira Dean, who had this to say, Man, I've had the opportunity to share the stage with this guy more than once, and Meatball (Rob) CAN PLAYYYYY... His tone and style is like a tele-wacker, shot up with testosterone, and hit with a defibrillator.... I dig playing with that cat, and can't wait to do it again... Long story short, That's one spicy Meatball!". Maybe you remember Ira Dean from the band Trick Pony or possibly because of the hits he has written.
Risks and challenges
As any musician knows, there can always be unexpected production delays on an album. Add constant touring and playing live to pay the rent, it seems like it might be difficult to manage putting out a record. Well seeing as how I've already started production and this debut album is so important to me, NOTHING will get in my way or slow me down.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
