Players, Fans and Future Fans,
Thank you for an unbelievable season at The Long Time. We hope you've caught the fever and joined us in spreading the sandlot revolution far and wide. In its first season, the field played host to dozens of games and welcome teams from Houston, El Paso, Gulf Coast, Tulsa, Mississippi, and Alabama (as well as a few new Austin teams). In all honesty, it couldn't have been a better inaugural season, largely thanks to all who joined us behind the backstop and at the bar and on stage. Without y'all, we'd just be a few guys in wool jerseys letting ground balls bounce through our legs.
As we head into the offseason, we're hoping to make a few improvements to the field and viewing areas to make the games safer for everybody. We're talking extended netting, shady spots, taller fences and shorter shorts for Bradley Beesley. All of these things are possible with a little help from you fine folks, mostly in the form of donations but we sure won't turn away someone who likes shoveling.
If you're reading this you've most likely been to (or played in) a game at The Long Time and know what makes it so special. We want to keep it that way, which means keeping the fundraising in the sandlot family. We've built something incredible together already. Let's keep it going and growing into 2018.
Thank you, and see you all in March for the season opener.
Cool with pepper,
Your Texas Playboys

Risks and challenges
Erecting a net/fence system and constructing shaded areas requires a lot of hard work with heavy machinery and mucho time. Much of it can be done with just a few skilled workers, but we will announce a week in early 2018 when teams and fans can come donate their time and muscles to help install the netting and fencing systems.
