"THE SEASHORE" What is this & why NINTENDO SWITCH?

THE SEASHORE is an action-platformer with RPG and Metroidvania elements. The game has a breathtaking atmosphere of Fantasy Post-Apocalypse, solid gameplay, thrilling storyline and well-rounded characters for two players. Your friend and you will play for two characters - a soldier named "Gunman", who’s no longer young, and for a swordmaster, "Spark". Both characters have radically different abilities and motives, but they are united by one goal - to get to the "Seashore", the mysterious place the location of which is impossible to find....

             GAMEPLAY:

The gameplay is built around player interaction. This is the main reason why we chose NINTENDO SWITCH. This console is the most suitable for the game and allows you to play how you wish - not only on one console and on different joycons, but also on the local network or the internet. On your way you face many enemies, most of which you can’t beat alone, because different characters kill different enemies with greater or less efficiency. This also regards various obstacles that you encounter during the next puzzle, but in addition you still have more complicated obstacles – people populating this world. In dialogue with the characters you have several options for an answer, and the answer you choose mostly depends on: From further relationships with a definite person to the choice on which depends kind of destiny for the New Humanity. You can safely navigate the city, in search of something or just for fun - we made everything as fascinating as possible. The game has an enjoyable mechanics of heroes, an exciting story with a lot of branches and unexpected twists that will remain in your memory for a long time.

  • Simple power up system!

Throughout the game you find artifacts, and some of them you can use to upgrade weapons! Gunman's weapons have up to 3 upgrade slots. You can swap upgrades as you want to make a unique weapon for specific situation.

 

Like Gunman's upgrades, throughout the game you can find runes, Rune Sword have only 5 rune slots. Unfortunately Spark don't know Runic language. Turns out, you don't know any information about the runes, but you still can set them. If you want to know something about specific rune, visit characters who understands Runic language, like Alisa.

 

 

 

           THE WORLD AND THE PLOT:

Hundreds of years have passed since the apocalypse, which took away almost all of the living creatures. The world has completely changed and no one remembers what happened in those distant times. Flora and fauna was transmorfed unrecognizable and about things that people find under the sands the most strange guesses are built. A dominant position in the land occupy two factions that are constantly at war with each other, and the conflict between them is brewing again. A veteran of many battles, respected among both factions, learns about the imminent threat, and goes to search for his daughter, who had gone to "The seashore" However, it is impossible to find this place without helping of companion who knows the way...

           CHARACTERS:

  • Gunman

Old military man. Has a tactical thinking and ability to handle many weapons. His mechanics will be similar to the classic 2D shooters. This character has a huge arsenal of weapons, needed in various game situations. It can be purchased for playing currency in special machines or found on the battlefield. The shooter went to the seashore after his daughter wrote strange letters to him.

  •  Spark

The mechanics of Spark will be unique. In battle, she will rely on her sword, agility and strength. With the help of somersaults she will break through behind the back of enemy and deliver lightning-fast killing blows. She likes to fight and always remains on the front line. Spark went to The Seashore because, according to her, her home was there

The gameplay of each character is very different, but the design of levels and the enemies are built to the characters perfectly complement each other. Together you will be beating bosses, cleaning up levels and solving puzzles.

 

 

                 GRAPHICS:

The graphics are made in 8-bit resolution but not limited at anything. A huge palette of colors, smooth animation, colorful backgrounds, parallax, dynamic light, cast-scenes and much more ... We chose the sidescroller - as we like making beautiful detailed backgrounds, which you will admire.. Each character on the screen has a special color and is well-rounded.

 

 

 

 

 

                  MUSIC:

We understand that music powerfully affects the gameplay.. Therefore, we’ve attracted to our business proven guys and our good friends – group W.CLOUDS. The soundtrack, the sounds of animations, are all the fruit of their painstaking work.

THE SEASHORE creation has been inspired by a lot of projects. But we are going to give you a unique gaming experience - and Nintendo Switch is suitable for this like no other!

             STRETCH GOALS:

  • 3 500$ - Hardcore mode: FUNDED!

Hardcore mode is a mode that unlocks after beating the campaign, making old enemies more dangerous, adding new ones, and also complicating other game elements including level layout itself. But that is not all! In addition, new levels and bosses will be added, and at the end you will find a completely unique ending that will allow you to look at the game from the other side. So this is really a real "new game +";).

 

 

 

  • 4 000$ - Arena, challenges: FUNDED!

Classic arenas with a drop of weapons, abilities, lives at certain points, or for counters from kills in slot-machines. Here you can prove your strength in battle with other players online or close to your friends!

Challenges are particularly difficult but short tests that will require you to fully master all the skills of the game, for example shooting without misses or killing the boss without taking damage.

An additional pack of extremly complicated missions, linked together by a small storyline, which require players to cooperate in a good team game.

It was my dream to make games since childhood. When I was 15 I wrote my first playable game in Pascal from scratch. Many years later i am helping other kids to succeed their dreams by teaching them fundamentals of programming.

I have been studying painting for 4 years, so there's no need to worry about backgrounds and colors. When I was younger, I used to constantly make games on the Game Maker, and even earlier I could spend 5 hours drawing levels on the old wallpaper. That's exactly how a prototype of The Seashore was born.

I've been doing writing and scriptwriting for 4 years. Although I haven't participated in serious projects yet, the storyline of the game will show what I'm worth. I made game trailer as well.

                WHY KICKSTARTER?

As mentioned above, we cannot do without help of professionals in some area to create our game. We’ve put so much efforts into this project, because there’s nothing better than a completely finished game made with a soul. We do not want to make another gray game or not use donations wisely. In our opinion, this site is the most suitable for implementing the ideas that we want to embody in our project and attract people that care what they play.

Risks and challenges

Creating games is a way much work, and creating good games is even more tough. THE SEASHORE is our first project, and we don’t want to screw up.

We have promised you a lot, but we intend to make a really great game! Therefore, the question "When the game will see the world?" is difficult to answer.
We want to put into work each of your donations and release the game only when ALL that we promised is REALLY ready, and not just ready, but in the best possible way.
Otherwise, why release it at all?
