What’s Next…

Hello all – this is Gilad again. Unfortunately the Mauz Kickstarter campaign was not successful and that is indeed too bad. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for supporting the Mauz project! I also want to thank the Kickstarter team for allowing us this opportunity to share our Mauz with the KS community!

So what’s next for us – that’s a great question to which to be honest I don’t have a definite answer yet. We’ve learned so much in these past two months and got great advice and insights. We will now go back to the drawing board and try to figure out what made this project unsuccessful and examine whether we should alter some of the product’s features.

I’ve created a very very short survey (30 seconds) and would love it if you can assist us in trying to analyze our product and provide your input regarding next steps. I’d highly appreciate your assistance here – just press this link - http://questionpro.com/t/AJjfmZPLCV

Many people have been asking me whether the product will launch as scheduled regardless of the campaign success. The answer to that is – probably not. Not having reached the funding goal does create a cash flow challenge for us going forward. That said, we believe Mauz is a great and fun product and we will work hard on finding ways to move forward and bring it into production.

Again – thank you all for your kind words, kind thoughts and support!

Two obvious things that I feel could've given this project a better chance at being funded:

      1) Increase the number of $45 pledges available... both of them maxed out at 200 backers really quick, so obviously there was a huge demand but not enough open slots!

      2) Consider decreasing the funding goal... $150k is pretty high, especially for Kickstarter. Maybe find an investor who would be willing to give you $75k if you come up with $75k from Kickstarter.

I'm not sure that a survey for backers will provide any useful insight for you considering that we are already sold on the project.

I a m very sorry to hear this! I thought that this would explode.. Obviously a great mistake by people who do not know what they Are missing. No rational explanation for it so it must be random bogons in the system...I hope that you wil see this as a minor setback and persevere ..this idea is too good not to make it, whatever, however, whenever... I want this to succeed . My best wishes and hopeful thoughts to the entire team... I look forward to forking over cold hard cash for MAUZ soon.

Very sorry to hear this. It was one of my most anticipated Kickstarter project ever! Now I will have to rethink the living room. Let me know if you ever want a alpha/beta tester in the future.
