When you look at the other gaming platforms and consoles, there's plenty of great gaming gear, but when you look at mobile phones, there is plenty of everyday gear, but nothing built specifically with gamers in mind. The Chargemander is about to change that.

A DESIGN THAT WOULD MAKE THE PROFESSOR PROUD
What makes the Chargemander special isn’t its power, it’s the design. You can load your phone directly into the case because of the high-quality state-of-the-art semi-soft materials that we use around the inner grooves. Most importantly, the hard exterior shell protects your phone from heavy impacts and hard falls.

We were able to create a beautiful case that even the Professor himself would be proud of, while preserving the integrity of the phone’s core functionality. You can easily use the volume, sleep and home buttons as well as the lightning connector, headphone jack and bottom microphone... and, of course, both cameras.

JAM-PACKED WITH COOL FEATURES
There are the classic red yellow and green LED lights on the front of your Chargemander. You can use these to check your battery status. Simply press the blue button.
Game for 33 hours straight. If your light goes red, head on home.
When you are out and about the front cover will also wrap completely around your chargemander and sit flat against the back so that it will never be in your way while you are hunting.
WELCOMING TRAINERS OF ALL (MOST) SHAPES AND SIZES
We know that trainers come in all shapes and sizes, as do their tools, which is why we are hoping to make versions of the Chargemander to accommodate all major Apple and Android cell phone models. After the campaign ends, we will send you a survey so that you can let us know which type of phone you have.
We are making Chargemander models that supports the following phones:
- iPhone SE, 5, 5s (not 5c), 6, 6s, 6 Plus, 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
- Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 and S7 (ALL MODELS including Edge and Active)
With all of the phone models listed above you will be able to access ALL of the exterior functions and buttons.
WE WILL NOW ALSO BE MAKING A UNIVERSAL-FIT VERSION OF THE CHARGEMANDER! (will work with 95%+ phones - more details to come!)

What are the Chargemander's tech specs?
All Chargemanders come with a 5200 mAh lithium ion battery. All Chargemanders come with a Fast-Charge Input: DC19V/3.3A (total ~ 63W) ~15 min. to charge.
Charging iPhone Chargemanders:
- Lightning Charge Input - 5V/2A - ~4+ hours to charge
- Output - Max of 5V/2.4A (iPhones limit the amperage to ~ 5V/1.5A)
Samsung Chargemander Batteries:
- Micro-USB Charge Input (QC2.0) - max of 9V/2A and 12V1.5A (total ~ 18w) - ~3+ hours charge
- Output - Max of 9V/2A or 12V1.5A (Chargemander will typically charge S5, S6 or S7 at ~ 9v1.3A)
CHARGEMANDER TIMELINE
We began this project in early July. We started by concepting many designs and working with our Chinese factory to figure out a design that would function seamlessly while preserving the aesthetic of the Chagemander. After settling on a great design (see above), we began production of a prototype in mid July.
As of August 15th, we have a 3D printed prototype of the Chargemander (you can see all of our prototype shots in this Chargemander prototype gallery). This prototype is an accurate representation of the Chargemander's design/shape for an iPhone 6, but is not built with the actual materials and is not the final coloring. We've also built all of the battery and charging technology, but we need to customize these pieces with the Chargemander's shape.
With your help, we can put down the deposit for our first PO, which we will do as soon as we hit our goal **fingers crossed** and begin production of the final Chargemander model built with the actual materials, fully colored and with the customized electrical componants. After we put down the deposit it will be 30 days until we have fully finished Chargemanders and can begin shipping them to happy backers all over the world! See full timeline below:
- July 10: Began design
- July 15: We began to build our Prototype
- August 15: Prototype Finished
- September 6th: Kickstarter Launches
- September 6th: Kickstarter hits goal!!
- September 6th: We put in initial PO
- October 7th: Kickstarter ends
- October 19th: Production is finished and units ship to US warehouse
- October 28th: Chargemanders ship to happy backers all over the world
OUR TEAM
We're Reid Covington and Chase Larson. After being roommates during study aboard in Beijing in 2006 (see pic below) we began to plan the creation of a mobile gaming company.
GogoToro, and the Chargemander, is the fruition of our vision. We're united by our passion for gaming and never compromising on our gaming gear. We're proudly bootstrapped technologists/entrepreneurs and we owe it to our passionate community of fellow gamers.

We will be sending out 2 surveys that ask for your phone model. 1 survey while the campaign is live and 1 survey when the campaign finishes. Please fill out BOTH surveys to make sure we know which phone model you have and can make enough Chargemanders for your phone type.
If you do not fill out the post-campaign survey, we will NOT be able to send you a Chargemander until you do, so please fill it out! :)

Your card will be charged on October 8th at 12:00am (so basically, the project ends on October 7th at 11:59pm - and then Kicksatrter will charge your card).
If there is a problem with your card when we charge it, you will have 1 week (7 days) to fix it or we will not be able to ship you your Chargemander.

It wasn't our original intention to make anything other than The Chargemander battery case. With that being said, we have received hundreds of requests for additional accessories and so we are doing our best to include these.
Please understand that all of these little extras add up quickly and we can't afford to give away anything more for free. To be honest, we are not going to make a profit on this Kickstarter. We priced the product pretty close to cost on Kickstarter to give our early supporters the best possible deal in exchange for their early support. And we've put everything we've made back into the product itself, hoping to make it these best possible product.
That being said, we will make all accessories available as add-ons at the end of the campaign. They will be priced as cheaply as possible so that people can enjoy them.

Keeping a low temperature is an essential part of good charging. Our stat-of-the-art charging leverages the most current charging technology and, as such, keeps the temperature cooler than other cases. This is another reason the Chargemander is the fastest, best battery case in the world!

Absolutely not. Our batteries go through extensive testing and get full certification before leaving the factory.

At this time, we are only offering the Chargemander in the original red gamer aesthic. There may be other colors in the future, but the Chargemander is geared towards gamers, who like the red :)

While I agree that my iPhone 6 sure as hell seems to die in about 4-5 hours, according to apple, an iPhone 6 can use internet for 10 hours without dying. And the Chargemander increases this lifespan to 33 hours - hence 300%+. In reality, it IS probably more like 600%, but we like to under promise and over deliver :)

This is true and we admit there are lots of great power banks on the market, some that have much more battery capacity than the Chargemander. But where the Chargemander puts them all to shame is it’s conveinence and charging speed. There is NO power bank or battery case that charges faster than the Chargemander, fully charging in just 15 minutes, it is the fastest charging battery case in the world. And throw in the fact that it is a phone case as well, that fits in your pocket, that makes it super convinient. Oh, and you said it, it looks cool too!! :)
