Congratulations, Kid Beowulf! As the editor for the Kid Beowulf series, each book is near and dear to me. But as much fun as Blood-Bound Oath and The Song of Roland are, The Rise of El Cid will be special in a whole new way. It is by far the most personal, and perhaps the most ambitious, title in the series so far, which is evident by the intimate and detailed backdrop of Spanish history, culture, and imagery. The writing is passionate, and the illustrations are some of the best I've ever seen spring forth from Lex's pen. If the first two books set readers off on an adventure, The Rise of El Cid is Lex's homecoming. The result is truly remarkable and not to be missed.
Thanks for all the support, my friend!
Well done Lex. And keep raking that money in!!!
