HuFo is a project by Vincenzo Aiello, founder of Foregen, a nonprofit dedicated to biomedical research into foreskin regeneration. HuFo isn't just about art, education and perspective, it's about funding real world biomedical solutions for circumcised men.
Where do my funds go?
You are funding and sharing an awareness campaign. Your funds go to the hand-made production of this valuable piece of art, an educational tool in it’s own right, and additionally to supporting the production and distribution of all of the valuable supplementary apparel, rewards, and information.
Foregen is just beginning our research into full foreskin regeneration with animal tissue and with your help will progress onto human tissue this year! Our video of our first completed laboratory experiment is below:
HUFO: The Art Piece
It is our hope that HuFo actualizes the loss due to circumcision and inspires a demand for reclaiming it. It took 2 years of work, from conception to reality, but Vincenzo Aiello is pleased to present America’s censored body part: HUFO – The Missing Piece.
HUFO shows in no uncertain terms what is lost when parents decide to perform an elective surgery on their newborn son. Circumcision has become so commonplace in the US that parents often forget that circumcision is a surgery. Every other surgery in Western medicine requires both compelling and urgent medical reasons to perform without consent. Unfortunately there is not a single one.
Even if a valid medical reason to perform neonatal circumcision were present, that would pose other ethical questions that we cannot ignore. Such as…
- Is it ethical for parents to remove functional tissue from their children’s bodies to conform to social or cultural norms?
- What does performing a nonconsensual alteration to their child's genitals communicate consciously or subconsciously about who owns his body?
- Are parents informed of the highly erogenous qualities of the male foreskin and how removing it can damage their son's sex lives?
- What emotional consequences may arise if a child, later in life, deems such modifications to his genitalia as imposed and unwanted?
- Are parents aware that the risk of serious surgical complications is very real?
Inspired by these ethical questions, contemporary artist Vincenzo Aiello sought to bring closure to the circumcision debate by doing what no man in history has ever done… recreating the male foreskin.
What is HUFO?
HUFO is the adult, male HUman FOreskin. Only recently has its unique sexual properties been observed in the medical field and never have they been portrayed with such clarity.
In 1996 pathologist John R. Taylor proved that the foreskin is composed of primary erogenous tissue, that it demands respect in its own right. Vincenzo continues Taylor’s research with HUFO to establish once and for all to the public, not just the medical community, that the male foreskin’s contributions to sexual pleasure are unique and necessary.
There is a curious disconnect between the loss of sexual pleasure between the sexes. The media rightly denounces female circumcision and its destruction of sexual tissue, but what about male circumcision? The question is not whether one type of circumcision removes more sexual tissue than the other, but whether any amount of nonconsensual excision of sexual tissue is acceptable in an enlightened society.
Share HUFO & Change the World!
By raising awareness we can change circumcision culture and reduce the practice.
What is HUFO's ultimate purpose?
American men have been deceived for decades regarding the true nature of their bodies. HUFO exposes these lies that so many of us (including those on this team) once believed. HUFO shows that every part of the body is sacred. It is our ultimate hope that HUFO will demonstrate that the decision to circumcise your child is independent of sex and is a resounding No.
We sincerely hope you’ll join us to bring this important piece of art to life.
For those who would like to own this visceral, culture-shifting sculpture for themselves, this KickStarter is the perfect opportunity to acquire a unique, numbered collector’s edition HUFO for the one-time price of $1,000.
For those who believe in the awareness we are creating but do not have the means to fund your own HUFO, please consider supporting the project with the lower tier rewards.
HUFO posed several challenges that were new to the world of hyper realistic art. First and foremost, no one has ever made a recreation of the male foreskin before in history. Indeed, even many medical textbooks do not even include it in depictions of the male penis. Those that do, often mention the foreskin as an afterthought.
Despite the lack of formal documentation on the foreskin, Vincenzo studied circumcision surgeries for months to understand how the tissue is cut to recreate it. After months of refining on the terracotta mold, Enzo had finally created HUFO – the first hyper realistic art sculpture to update the anatomy books.
Intact to Circumcised
If you are unfamiliar with the intact, i.e. uncircumcised, penis, it is difficult to visualize how HUFO attaches to the rest of the penis. Below is a step by step visualization of the process:

Risks and challenges
Since every HUFO and case are hand-made, our biggest risk in fulfilling every reward will be ensuring that the members integral in the production process remain able to fulfill the rewards.
In the unlikely event that we need to recruit new highly-skilled individuals, we would need to repeat the painstaking process of going through iteration after iteration of HUFOs until we can produce the same quality sculpture. Fortunately, we have confirmed with our production partners and they are ready and willing to scale up the operation given we successfully fund the project!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
