Thank you for your interest in THE FLASHLIFE.
We wanted to provide a way to charge the unit while in emergency situation so we are working with a solar designer/manufacturer that has come up with a micro USB and dual mini 6v charger that is small enough to fit within the internal parameters of the FLASHLIFE tube while still being able to be deployed durring the day and charge the unit. It is actually quite amazing for its size and charging capabilities. 4hrs of sunlight charging will provide 30% battery life. Keep in mind that the driver board we designed will never let the battery get below 12% discharge without automatically dropping to 20% capability.
Therfore if charged for 4 hours plus the 20% emergency battery life would provide 6+ hours of light on low. Thats 600 lumens for 6 hours straight....available 11,000 times. ESSENTIALLY YOU WOULD NEVER RUN OUT OF LIGHT WITH ONLY 4 HOURS CHARGE EVERY DAY RUNNING ON LOW FOR 6 HRS CONSTANTLY.
No other product in the world does that.
