About this project
High Tide Brewing Co. is coming to Jacksonville, North Carolina located at 1002 Henderson Dr. Suite A.
We are excited to bring hand crafted, local, small batch beer to this wonderful town. We are looking forward to brewing beer for all the craft beer lovers in Jacksonville and surrounding area.
The location is secured, architect plans are drawn, and our 3.5 BBL (100 gallon) brewhouse will be arriving later this month (January 2014).
We have been planning this venture for the past year and are excited to see the plans come to fruition. What we didn't plan for, was the immense cost of construction.
This Kickstarter campaign will allow us to build out the tap room and restaurant seating area allowing patrons to come in and enjoy a pint or get a 64 oz. growler to go.
In addition to our craft beer we will serve hot and cold Panini sandwiches,
along with other small food fare including appetizers, desserts, and a kids' menu.
We will be open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week, a place where you can enjoy a sports game and listen to music.
High Tide Brewing Co. is a family run business. Greg and Jessie Campbell are the owners of this soon to be Brewery and Restaurant.
This is really a story of Greg's love for craft beer and his ambition to create great beer for everyone around him. He has been home brewing on and off ever since .....(well, let's just say it may have been earlier than the legal drinking age).
For the past 3 years Greg has brewed a batch of beer almost weekly, sharing it with friends and family. Greg needs and wants to bring his knowledge and passion for creating great craft beer to the general public.
Greg and Jessie are family people with three young boys who are actively involved in the community from school to sports, piano, and scouts. The boys like to watch Dad brew and often want their parents to play restaurant while meals are being made in the kitchen.
Greg's brother, Kevin will be joining the High Tide Brewing Co. team as the Assistant Brewmaster and general manager of restaurant operations. Kevin has a degree in business and will bring to the company a vast knowledge of home brewing and local craft beer.Kevin lives in Eugene, Oregon, a hotbed for craft breweries. Kevin shares Greg's passion for craft beer and will be a huge asset to the team.

What is Kickstarter and how does it work?
Kickstarter is a crowd-funding platform for creative projects. It gives everyone the opportunity to play a part in the success of a project such as High Tide Brewing Co.
Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform which means that if we are unable to achieve our $20,000 goal in 30 days, you aren't charged and we get nothing. If we meet or exceed our goal, then we are that much closer to making this dream a reality!
Pledging to our project is simple:
- Create a profile on Kickstarter.
- Create an account on Amazon (if you don't already have one). This is where payments are processed.
- Pick your reward level and help support a great local new business.
So tell your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, anyone and everyone you know. We need your help to get the word out and bring High Tide Brewing Co. to our community!
Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges with opening a brewery and restaurant are delays in permitting and construction. Unexpected construction costs and general delays. We fully expect that a successful Kickstarter campaign will get us open and brewing beer.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
