Keewifi is unlike any other router. It doesn't require a password to connect to WiFi or a frustrating and tedious configuration process to install. It works right out of the box so anyone can set it up. Keewifi features the latest wireless standard 802.11ac and enterprise networking technology to ensure that your WiFi signal is strong, stable, and FAST. It's easy to use and powerful, too.
The World's Simplest Router
It's extremely easy to set up and use Keewifi. Just plug in the power and network cables and you're done. No complicated configuration or confusing software to worry about. And no more 192.168.1... nonsense. Keewifi is plug and play.
Connecting devices to WiFi is even easier—it just takes a tap. Simply hold any WiFi-enabled device close to the Keewifi syncing panel, and you'll be authorized in seconds. You don't need to enter a password that's too difficult to remember or too easy to exploit.
Security Taken Seriously
Keewifi uses proximity technology to authenticate devices as an alternative to standard WiFi passwords. Devices must come in close contact with the syncing panel in order to be authorized to join your network. This patented feature ensures that others cannot connect to your WiFi without this physical action so rest assured that your private network is protected.
No One-Trick Pony
We built Keewifi with the latest wireless technology in mind. Equipped with 802.11ac, it supports simultaneous dual-band transmissions (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) with WiFi speeds up to 867Mbps. Keewifi also features Beamforming technology which targets your WiFi devices and boosts signal strength in that direction. Instead of sending an equal signal in all directions, Beamforming enables Keewifi to broadcast a more direct, concentrated signal to your devices, which allows for lower interference and much better coverage.
The Zen Button is designed to resolve many common WiFi issues. Most consumer routers are not smart enough to realize when your neighbor's WiFi interferes with your own—resulting in significant decreases in WiFi speeds (up to 90%!). Pressing the Zen Button will notify Keewifi to automatically detect and switch to the least occupied channel, maximizing your actual internet bandwidth.
Unlike many other consumer routers on the market, Keewifi isn't based on some patchwork Open-WRT software. It runs a custom Linux-based OS with a heavily-modified, business-grade WiFi driver to ensure that your WiFi signal is incredibly stable and reliable.
Advanced Features (for Everyday People)
We're developing the Keewifi app for both iOS and Android with features that everyone will find helpful. Device management lets users approve, forget, and ban devices remotely. A time restriction function allows admins to control WiFi usage times or even lock/unlock Keewifi so uninterrupted family dinners are a possibility again! You can also set when a device must re-authenticate to continue accessing your WiFi—handy for public spaces like coffee shops or restaurants.
Router management has settings for more seasoned users who may want to add, hide, or change multiple SSIDs (up to 6 per Keewifi). If you wish, you'll also be able to set traditional WiFi passwords, manually switch 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz WLAN channels, change the LED color around the syncing panel and more.
- Linking several Keewifi routers together is simple. Once the first Keewifi is set up, the additional Keewifi(s) only need to be plugged into a power source so you can place them anywhere in your home. Use any device that's connected to your network to tap the additional Keewifi(s). They will automatically link to the existing Keewifi network and expand your coverage. You can also add additional Keewifi routers through our app.
- Adding Keewifi as a range extender for your current router/network will significantly increase your WiFi coverage. Just connect Keewifi to a power source, tap it with your device, and a pop-up will automatically appear prompting you to choose the existing network you wish to connect to. Enter a WiFi password if necessary, and Keewifi will be linked.
We looked at hundreds of iterations when prototyping our product. Most home routers are hidden, tucked away somewhere in the corner of the house (and rightfully so). We made sure that along with all the features that Keewifi offers, it had to be beautifully designed and packaged, too. Keewifi will be a device you'll be proud to display in your home.
One of the biggest advantages for a hardware company based in Beijing is that the world's best hardware manufacturers are right in our backyard in Shenzhen. We have a team working full-time on-site at our main manufacturing factory to ensure that operations run smoothly. Not only do we have this geographically advantage, we're also able to communicate without any cultural or language barriers holding us back. We are working in tandem with our manufacturing partners to ensure that the best version of Keewifi arrives at your door.

Risks and challenges
Our Mark I Wireless-N router, Kisslink, is ready for a trial production run. It's specifically designed for the domestic Chinese market. For Kickstarter, we felt it was important to add several improvements to this revolutionary product that would appeal to a broader audience. The most significant upgrades on our Mark II router, Keewifi, are the inclusion of 802.11ac and additional app functionality.
With the jump to 802.11ac, we need to raise funds to purchase more expensive chipsets and make internal hardware adjustments. This process will take time, but we are working with the same world-class manufacturers and factories as always. Our on-site team has been diligent not only with our product, but our working relationship with our manufacturing partners as well.
Building a hardware product presents many unique challenges, but we have the experience and confidence to overcome them. We will be transparent and open to all of our backers on the road ahead together. We will deliver the best Keewifi to you. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
