About

Simple, easy and inexpensive, (Arduino-Compatible).

There is a build in Lithium Polymer (LiPo)  battery charger and  regulator, and with the help of the   low power  SAMD21G18  micro-controller, your projects can run autonomous for a long time.

You can charge the battery with the USB or with a 5v-6v solar panel.  Ideal for remote IoT devices.

SD socket, Real-Time Clock (RTC), 10-bit DAC, LiPo charger, LiPo regulator, direct USB code upload and debugging, Blink LED, mouse and keyboard emulator, etc....

Micro SD socket card. Connected on pin D4.  Upload and run any arduino SD examples with out having to connect an external SD module.

Real-Time Clock (RTC) build in. By using the RTC and an SD card, BZ1 can be used as a real time logger. Many examples can be found over the internet. Visit https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/RTC for examples.

10-bit DAC.  SAMD21G18 has a 10-bit DAC build in, so you can play any WAV files that are in the SD card. Connect any amplified speaker  on Pin A0, upload the sketch from the link https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/SimpleAudioPlayerZero, and  play any .WAV file from the SD card.

LiPo Charger. There is a build in battery charger. You only need to connect a Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery and your project will run for a long time. SAMD21G18 ARM is a low power micro-controller.  You can charge the battery with the USB or with a 5v-6v solar panel

Voltage regulator. LiPo batteries can go up to  4.1v high when are fully charged. A regulator ensures that the voltage on BZ1 will always be 3.3v.  600ma output.

Build in USB to Serial. You can directly upload your code and debug. No need to use an external 'USB to Serial' converter like FTDI232.

Blink LED on board.  D13 is connected with a LED. A mosfet is used to ensure stable current on pin D13.

Risks and challenges

We all know and respect Murphy's law, so there's a chance that things can delay. Knowing that, I place delivery date by March 2019.
Also some minor changes maybe done on the board and the schematic. This is a prototype board. Used only in a lab, and with your own risk. SD card, solar panel, USB cable, battery and breadboard are not included.
