Overlords 2 offers a selection of new alien Overlords models, plus a few forlorn hunters ready to oppose their incursion.
Welcome trooper. Our preliminary reports confirmed the Overlords threat is very real and its containment is of critical importance. Though we identified several classes of Overlords during initial encounters, more and more data is arriving - new Overlords are being sighted with each day.
This second wave of Overlords explores new forms as well as expanding upon familiar classes of these alien creature.
SnoopThe smallest Overlord identified to date, the Snoop, appears to be a non-combatant and with no known offensive capability. It may well be a juvenile form of a larger class, or a small scout creature.
Named for its apparent method of delivering Overlord spores, the Belcher has a number of underlying cavities from which is releases primitive organic matter, assumed to be parasitic seeds.
Perhaps a deviant strain of the Overlords, the Cackler displays non-regular features, such as diminutive limbs. Named for its tendency to emit screeching and gargling noises that often resembles that of laughter, this Overlord is both a formidable foe and psychological torment.
The Fanoschin is a powerful Overlord, able to emit a powerful energy beam from its single, baleful eye. Multiple beams can be combined from several Fanoschins to produce a beam strong enough to penetrate strong alloys and energy fields. These creatures have been observed combining their powers to break into fortifications, allowing other Overlords to infiltrate the forces inside.
The drones are the most common class amongst the Overlords, but their forms vary in size and proportion. This may be naturally occurring variation rather than sub-classification amongst the drones. Drone 3 has a larger eye and body than other drones, so perhaps simply a longer lived instance.
The Scute is perhaps a variant or evolution of the basic drones. Unlike regular drones, the scute has a tough chitin shell on its upperside. For a species that hovers above its prey, this seems ill-conceived, but scutes have been witnessed attaching themselves to other Overlords to protect them, and crawling along the ground in approach to its enemy - giving some cause for their shorter tentacles.
Babak is a Saimir veteran and founder of the Sassanids, a hunter-warrior elite squad named after his father, Sassan. Two of Babak's kin (Arim and Dazh) are available as add-ons.
K-ManK-Man is a large reptilian - some simply call him gator. While already considerably strong and tough, his powered-armour suit pushes his resilience to the point of being unstoppable in close quarters. Armed with a hand cannon and sheer brutality, he's the number 1 strongman to have at the fore of your hunter team.
Ceto is an aquatic humanoid, though her species is not fully identified yet. She excels in strategy and where her wit and guile don't see a job through, her plasma blast rifle clears up any confusion.
A gecko-like amphibian, Tebra is small, agile scout with a keen eye for spotting Overlords. Long before they become a proximity threat, Tebra tags and bags stray snoops and infiltrators with his trusty kinetic rifle.
More ready and willing.
