***STRETCH GOALS! Thanks to your support, we have the chance to take LITTLE FEET even farther. Here are some of the opportunities we have, if we can make it to 50K!
- WARPAINT ORIGINAL SONG - Theresa Wayman (of the band Warpaint, see rewards) was so inspired by your support that she offered to compose an original song for LITTLE FEET. We will have to pay for the studio time and mix it into a track but we are honored by the donation.
- NEW CREDIT AND TITLE SEQUENCES - We would also like to reshoot and create great title and credit sequences. Zachary Fuhrer has signed on to do them. He has worked at Prologue Films, Kyle Cooper's studio legendary for creating David Fincher's Se7en opening.
- INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION - And finally, LITTLE FEET has been accepted to FOUR new international film festivals--Istanbul, Viennale in Vienna, Munich International Film Festival and the prestigious Valladolid International Film Festival in Spain. This will provide LITTLE FEET with a great opportunity to enjoy a wider international audience and we will need to present at the markets as well as pay for promotion and extra screenings for international distribution.
LITTLE FEET, THE FILM
LITTLE FEET represents a form of idealism against impossible odds embodied by Nico and Lana, yet accessible to everyone.
***UPDATE: So excited for the support from Steve Buscemi, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Beals, Sam Rockwell, Rosie Perez, Aidan Quinn and of course, mama to Lana and Nico herself, Karyn Parsons.
Want the outgoing voicemail message all your friends would be jealous of? Want to meet them? Yep, check out the rewards.
The Hollywood Reporter said, “In LITTLE FEET we’re suspended in a dream we once had – a very, very beautiful dream.”
WHY WE NEED HELP
After a great festival run which started with a premiere at the world-renowned Toronto Film Festival and climaxed by winning the prestigious Jury Prize at the Mar Del Plata Film Festival in Argentina, and the subsequent acclaim in the press (Indiewire hailed LITTLE FEET as ‘the first great film of 2014’), LITTLE FEET is ready to leap forward so audiences around the world can have the opportunity see it.
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
The fantastic distribution company, FACTORY 25, which specializes in quality independent films, has chosen LITTLE FEET to be part of its exclusive slate of films. In order for us to take advantage of this incredible opportunity we must deliver all the elements necessary for distribution. We can’t afford to miss out on this opportunity! If the press and audience response at festivals around the world is any indication, this is a film that needs to be seen.
NOW WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
We have given our all for the last two years to this project. I have sunk my last pennies into the film. We have done the heavy lifting but need help to make the final push to life.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?
Final Sound Mix. Not cheap, but necessary to be able to show in different formats through out the world.
Color Correction and creation of Digital Masters and Dubs. These are the mandatory formats distributors require for exhibition.
Dialogue Lists and Subtitle Spotting. Another necessary component for foreign distribution.
Music Clearance for 14 Songs. The accomplished music supervisor Tiffany Anders of Listen, Listen has donated her time to help us clear publishing rights to these beautiful songs. But we still need to pay for the songs.
Art Work and Title Design. For the final title sequence.
Legal Fees and Insurance. Jonathan Gray, legendary indie-film attorney, has donated his time to our cause. However, the cost of errors & omissions insurance cannot be waived. It is a pre-requisite for any commercial distribution contract.
A CALL FOR COLLABORATORS!
There must to be a way for small films of quality to reach their audiences. FACTORY 25 will fill this promise if we can come together and get this done!
I was around at the birth of what is now known as “independent film” and I see crowdfunding as a hopeful solution to what has become a film culture where only what is huge can survive. In order for independent films to stay vital we need choices. That is where Kickstarter has given new life to personal, truly independent films. I am positive that if my mentor John Cassevetes were around today he would use Kickstarter to make his films.
Crowdfunding is inspiring and I am proud to be part of this new platform that connects filmmakers directly with their audiences.
Your support, collaboration and interaction with LITTLE FEET doesn't just help get it out in the world, it can be the start of a relationship that can make films like LITTLE FEET possible.
Check out the REWARDS and become part of the LITTLE FEET family. Thanks so much for taking the time and thanks in advance for your support.

What do those rewards look like?
Risks and challenges
If the film does not make its goal, it will not be seen. It is as simple as that.
The film has been shot, edited, gone to top festivals and benefited
from strong support in the press. Still, even with all the positive response it will be a challenge.
We have a distribution deal but we still need to deliver the goods. That includes clearing the music, color correction and all the dialogue lists and things necessary for those outside the U.S. to see it.
I have been making films for most of my life and sunk my last pennies into this project. Now, it's just the home stretch.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
