He always leaves viewers feeling confident in their ability to perform the tasks easily and effectively.
This television series is inspired by Leon's highly successful and popular video called: SERIOUS HORSEPLAY FOR AMATEUR CUTTERS. It will be filmed using top quality horses sired by the leading stallions in the industry. We will be showcasing a variety of riders new to the sport as well as seasoned riders who are extremely competitive in the cutting arena at both local and national levels.
The program will cover everything necessary to get started in the cutting arena and will provide viewers with insider information unavailable elsewhere in the industry. The individual episodes of the first season will be filmed in 13 sequenced programs. They will be easy to digest and make the learning process very attainable to those viewers wishing to put the information into immediate practice for their own use. They will be able to experience instant results from each episode. The exceptional take home value per episode will be the key to this program's overwhelming success.
This is the first and only television series that will be broadcast on RFDTV that actually takes the audience from start-to-finish through the process of entering, participating and competing in the exciting world of cutting horses. Viewers will be guided through the various stages step by step by one of the greatest teachers and communicators in the horse industry. Leon Harrel has started and developed thousands of riders throughout his career who have gone on to become successful competitors and trainers. He will offer a comprehensive education full of insights, pertinent information and applicable training techniques to the viewing audience that will give them the tools they need to become cutting horse riders and competitors.
The series will cover everything newcomers to the sport of cutting need to know in order to make safe, well informed choices about selecting and purchasing their first cutting horse. He will guide them through the following processes:
*What type of horse will best suit them to get started
*How to make sure their horses are correctly screened and vetted by reliable professionals
*Knowledge about the care and maintenance specific to cutting horses including the expenses involved
*Information about the selection and correct use of equipment for themselves as well as their horses
*Understanding and development of horsemanship skills and techniques unique to cutting horse riding and training
*Specialized exercises that will facilitate a rider's ability to quickly learn exactly what it takes to ride, tune/prepare and show a cutting horse.
This is the only program in the industry designed specifically to support and educate riders who are contemplating becoming cutting horse competitors both recreationally as well as professionally.
It is an excellent introduction to the cutting horse world for any equine enthusiast as well as animal lovers in general. Leon's methods are humane and respectful of both horse and rider, and demonstrate how easily these extraordinary animals will perform for even the most inexperienced of riders when approached in a way they can easily comprehend.
There is serious interest and enthusiasm on behalf of the RFDTV programming staff for a show of exactly this type. Not only does it offer incomparable educational take home value, but it is also the first program of it's kind to be aired that is associated with a specific equestrian discipline that is both professional, extremely competitive and offers the largest amounts of prize money in the horse world today.
