Shipping Update #7

Greetings, troops!

Some of you have not received your games yet and have asked about status so will update you on where things are at currently.

First, we must apologize. Because this was such a large project, with a lot of bonus items, the project got very complicated. We knew this from the start, and have done all we can to avoid delays. And yet, here we are.

As you already know, Rik and Emmanuel went to Atlanta to help pack the games for the supporters. They managed to finish about a third of all the orders, and when they left, the warehouse staff was supposed to finish the job during the next few days.

But somehow, because of a myriad of reasons, the warehouse staff couldn’t fulfill its promise. And on top of this, UPS completely let us down by screwing up the shipping notices.

We were told this morning that the packing is nearly complete (10 days later than it should have). The Enlisted supporters are the ones that are still waiting, the Noncom supporters should receive a shipping notice shortly. And hopefully, all this mess should be resolved in a few days.

This process has been difficult and frustrating for us. Next time, we will supervise shipping more thoroughly, and stay longer at the warehouse if necessary.

We thank you all for your support and your patience. And wait till you open your boxes full of goodies! You’ll see that this game is worth the wait!

The package arrived just a couple days ago. I haven't had a chance to dig in, but everything about the design is spot on. Great job!

    2. Creator Matt Leitzen on July 20, 2012

I am a donor @ the Officer level and have received no package nor a shipping notification.

    3. Creator Céline .S. Sauvé on July 20, 2012

@Jason Woodall That's ahead of me. Still no shipping notice that I've seen.

    4. Creator Rod Spellman on July 18, 2012

I never received a tracking notice, but I got the whole box of loot today. Looks awesome!

    5. Creator Jason Woodall on July 18, 2012

I received my notice July 11th, and am also a Canadian backer, still have not received package.

That said, I am not upset at all, I am just excited to get my package. Thanks for all the hard work, I can't wait to play. Thanks for all the updates.

    6. Creator Bob Z. on July 18, 2012

For those of you with UPS tracking notices that were just 'a label has been printed' - keep checking the UPS site and/or the tracking number. Mine JUST updated today w/tracking info and (if its correct) it should arrive today.

    7. Creator James Cowling on July 17, 2012

Same as you, Karl. I got a notice of a USPS tracking number on July 6th, with no update since. I'm a Canadian officer-level backer.

I just received my game here in Athens, Georgia. It was worth every second of waiting! The quality is very impressive! I didn't expect so much to go into the materials of the game. Nice thick cardboard maps that are full size with no folding, awesome cover material on the rulebook, and great artwork. It looks like a very well polished game and not a first edition product run. Great job guys.

Officer level --> Received it last week. As to the quality and quantity of the game and goodies --> very satisfied. I disagree with Mr. Bart. I am glad that you thought enough of us to add the bonus items.

As to the game itself --> I am pleased so far. I enjoy the game and the concepts behind it. I watched the Longest Day last week to get in the mood, and that probably made a big impression for me. The game is accessible to the point that I introduced my wife to the first scenario and she enjoyed it enough to agree to future play. I still have questions about long-term enjoyability, but so far, so good. I am happy with my support of your game.

I'm actually confused about one thing. I got the notice from USPS saying they scanned in the shipment on July 6th ... but then nothing. I'm a Canadian Officer.

    12. Creator Randall Bart on July 17, 2012

The part where you say "with a lot of bonus items" points to the problem. You made a mess of this when you made so many things. When people are throwing money at you, you are under no obligation to spend it all.

So it's still a race to see if I get D-Day Dice or my Glory to Rome pin first.

    13. Creator Mark H. Walker on July 17, 2012

Guys, stuff happens. Keep at it, and don't get too discouraged. Lock 'n Load Publishing has been publishing games for seven years, and I can tell you that each is an adventure. If something can go wrong, it usually does. Just get them out as soon as you can...oh, and I'm an enlisted notification. :-)

    14. Creator Céline .S. Sauvé on July 17, 2012

I'm an Officer and nothing was there as of last Friday. Of course, there were an aufully large pack of packages being sorted when I took a peek on Monday, so maybe I'll have a nice surprise when I return home on Wednesday?

Either way, thanks for the status update. I just _really_ hope that it gets to my apartment before I move out of it at the end of the month... :(

      [Bite your tongue, Brian Cherry. (Please and thank you!) The last thing we need is Customs!!! >_<}

    15. Creator Jeff Eberlin on July 17, 2012

Officer level here. No emails, no shipping notice, no product. :-(

    16. Creator Jay on July 17, 2012

Aha, the truth finally came out...

    17. Creator K.C. Skedzielewski on July 17, 2012

Does this mean that Non-Coms havent shipped out yet, and will probably hit their locations around the end of the week (in the US)

    18. Creator Brian Cherry on July 17, 2012

I have no doubt that many Canadian orders are stuck at the border

    19. Creator Alex the Barbarian on July 17, 2012

I'm from Ohio and I my pledge was for a Field Marshal level. Still have not received mine. Hopefully I will get it this week.

    20. Creator John Wells on July 17, 2012

I am sure the game will be worth the wait. Thank you for the update. I look forward to receiving my copy. Best of luck with the rest of the shipments

    21. Creator John Bennett on July 17, 2012

Thanks for the update. Good to know the current situation. Still no clear idea of when we international backers will start seeing parcels - maybe next week.

    22. Creator Scott Vander Molen on July 17, 2012

I'm still waiting for my package and I'm a Line for Life supporter. Maybe because I'm in Canada? :-(

    23. Creator Nikki Ebright on July 17, 2012

Thank you so much for the update. I'm in the Enlisted category too, so it's good to know what's up. I figured I'd wait until the All Clear had been sounded before worrying too much. :)

    24. Creator Ted Duby on July 17, 2012

Well, I received my Officer Level package in the mail today here in Hawaii. All components are there and they are of incredible quality! Thanks Rik and Emmanuel. Oh and for those still waiting, I never received an email from UPS, it just showed up on my door today.

    25. Creator chris owen on July 17, 2012

No love for the ENLISTED, I feel less important.

    26. Creator Emil Ali on July 17, 2012

Line for Life and still waiting for this and my extra copy. So frustrating.

    27. Creator Matt Snodgrass on July 17, 2012

Thanks for the update, Rik. Fwiw, I'm a commanding officer and still waiting to see mine but hopefully it'll be here soon. Can't wait to try it out!

    28. Creator Blair on July 16, 2012

I'm a Canadian Officer waiting for mine. Maybe this week...

    29. Creator maldar on July 16, 2012

Mine arrived @ the house last week & I have been told everything on the check list was accounted for when it was opened. Now I'm looking to see what it will cost to ship to me where I'm currently working; was not sure where I would be working when it was shipped, so I ddidn't bother trying to change my address. Cannot wait to play it.

    30. Creator Josh Helton on July 16, 2012

Over 10 days, with there being 2122 supporters, if there were 4 people working on packing boxes, they would be packing them at an average of 53 supporters per day per person. Depending on staffing and time spent on it, that seems like a slow speed.

    31. Creator Shawn George on July 16, 2012

Sylvain, there were 2122 supporters. Each one was its own shipment.

    32. Creator ralphreinert on July 16, 2012

I have received my shipment. Thank you. Unfortunately so far the game is not as awesome as I hoped. As has been said by many others it does seem too Yahtzee like for me. But then so far I have not played it with my friends. My opinion might change once I have played it with other people. It is certainly better than Yahtzee and by no means a bad game. I am still hoping it will turn into a good game or better with more experience.

    33. Creator Mercedes (Mandy) on July 16, 2012

For me, no worries :) When the game comes it comes. So no rush this end, I'm just excited to be part of the whole process. Oooh exciting!!! I'm just glad you've been keeping us up to date with the process. Thank you for all the hard work, and I can't imagine all the sweat and sweat you had to go through to pack those extra rewards during the heat. Hang in there...and you have my support :)

    34. Creator Syd on July 16, 2012

I can sense the loud cries coming... I guess I'll have to comply with that court order and stop harassing the mailman for a few days.

Just for the sake of it, how many orders did you have to ship for the Kickstarter campaign? It sounds humongous...
