About this project
The 'X' Belt Skate-Tool from Too-B merges the five tools required to disassemble and adjust all existing decks. Three key sizes, a mini screwdriver with two bits and a bottle opener are combined into one unique object, exuding urban style. Ergonomic and intuitive, its design allows skateboarders a great freedom of movement and quick access to the tool's features.

Introducing the 'X' Belt to skateboarders
It is crucial for Too-B that the new 'X' Belt skate tool reflects the identity of Montreal, our city. The 'X' Belt creator and avid skateboarder himself, Lilian Cuer (pronounce Q-R), lives in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (East of Montreal) neighborhood, next to the 1976 Olympic Stadium and the mythical 'Big O' a World renowned skateboarding spot. He admits: "Going there and meeting with the community influenced me a lot, and I tried to translate that energy into my product".
Stainless steel buckle in brushed bare metal or black powder-coated finish.
A magnet is inset into the plastic clip to secure the screwdriver bits in place.
The 'X' Belt comes with PH2 and Hex 3 bits, but any standard bit can be used according to your needs. Inserting the clip in the buckle gives more leverage and increase torque strength.

Risks and challenges
Being multifunctional, we want to carefully select the best supplier for the 'X' belt’s plastic clips. 100% of the funds raised through our Kickstarter campaign will cover tooling and logistics costs of our first production of the 'X' belt.
The injection mold, being the heart of the project, must be carefully executed to ensure the best possible quality for the plastic parts.
In order to gain crucial time on the development of this mold, tooling will be ordered as soon as the initial goal is reached, even before the end of our campaign.
Metal Buckle - The buckle is made of 304 grade stainless steel tubes supplied by a Canadian company and machined by a local company.
Plastic clip - Injected in Montreal with Nylon 6/6; they are super resistant.
Magnets- Will come from an Ontario supplier.
Screwdriver bits- This is the only part coming from another country.
Belts- Whether made of leather or nylon, they will be cut and stitched by a Montreal based supplier.
Assembly - All Too-B's products will be assembled and packaged by us in Montreal. This will allow for better quality control and guarantee the best possible product.
