WHAT: A brand new album of songs I'm immensely proud of...
WHERE: This album has been recorded at home and abroad—in guest rooms, borrowed hours on a piano while a family was out, in a bathroom, etc. Oklahoma, Washington, Missouri, North Carolina, California, Indiana, Tennessee, Colorado & Yucatán, Mexico.
WHEN: The current timeline should see all production wrapped by the end of June, post-production wrapped by July, manufacturing wrapped by the end of August, and going out into the world some time in September/October. Inshallah. Trying to mind Hofstadter's Law...
V I N Y L ???
There shall be vinyl. This budget includes an estimate for doing a run of vinyl, but timelines for vinyl can be a bit slippery, so I've tried to give a generous window for this pressing.
WANNA KNOW MY BIG DREAM?
I have now recorded 6 albums in bedrooms, dorm rooms, laundry rooms, practice rooms, closets, and bathrooms (this is not sarcasm). I feel I've done my best to make it work, but I've often wondered what it would be like to work without limitation or interruption. My big dream—I would LOVE to have a dedicated studio space of my own. Mostly this would be a blessing for furthering my own work on future albums, but I have also been honored to have more and more people ask me to help them make their own songs come to life. I feel a strong sense of calling to continue growing/stewarding my music to connect with God and share it with others, and I think inviting more people into a Winters' studio space would be an extension of that. Anything above the Kickstarter goal will be invested into a dedicated studio space, will give wings to dreams, and will cause my heart to swell (emotionally).
BIG DREAM GOAL: $35k
