This will be the latest fine bone china mug collection after a one year break. Today you have the chance to purchase the entire set before they’re released in July.
After launching a successful collection of bold, graphic fine bone china mugs last year. The new collection will be made up of 4 mugs decorated with a graphic theme.
As always, the fine bone china mugs will be decorated using traditional silk screen printing techniques. The intention is to use a 2 colour process and continue using 18k gold to highlight my designs - this has become somewhat signature to my work and will be the most beautifully designed collection to date.
For those of you who are new to my work, I have been creating decorative ceramic pieces since 2010. I make ceramics out of sheer joy of the process and work with the continued collective support within the English ceramic industry.
My work is focused on preserving traditional techniques, everything is made on a small, independent scale.
I use a silk screen process so that's why it's important to me that each stage of the making process, from firing to the application of the design, is crafted by hand. This ensures that the finest quality, the centuries of artisan heritage, remains an integral feature of my products.
What I Need From You
Your backing will help create 4 fine bone china mugs made in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
Once I hit my funding goal of £1,000, I can commission work to begin on the collection - the screens will be set, the kilns fired up and the boxes packed - ready to be sent to you.
Once the mugs launch in July, they will retail for £15 each.
As a side note, I had a wonderful experience launching my project last year through Kickstarter. It was fantastic to meet new people and have the chance to continue making knowing I had a supportive and encouraging group of people behind me. It was a great feeling when I sent my work to backers across the globe.
Thank you for being apart of my project.
Risks and challenges
After a successful campaign last year, I learnt of the following risks and challenges.
Allowing enough time to make the product
To be aware of breakages from factory
To be aware of stock being delayed in transit
Depending on how successful the backing is I could potentially:
Make more mugs.
I am currently at the design stage of the project which will continue for another 5 weeks. Only after successful backing will I commission the wares to be made which will take 4 weeks.
I work with experts in the ceramic industry who have generations knowledge in the field. They have been brilliant in supporting and advising in my making. As always everything will be made to the same high quality ceramics.
Please note, sometimes when I ship your items beyond the EU your orders can be subject to local import or customs tax, sadly I don't have any control over this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
