Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!
Martin, I sent him an e-mail to his gmail address (see below) and got an answer within 2 minutes. It took him another month to send but I finally got it today in my mailbox.
Torsten, keep emailing Kickstarter asking for a refund, keep asking questions on his tumbrl, keep sending emails on at his listed email address. It's the only way it seems to motivate him to send you your copy.
Haven't seen or heard anything either yet. :(
I got it today, he contacted me after I notified Kickstarter asking for a refund and then posted it out. Saga over!
I'm asking Kickstarter for a refund because I'm getting tired of this mess.
Still nothing here, are there many of you left still waiting. Sent him a message on his tumblr recently, no reply.
My goodies arrived according to my wife. He had sent me a message after my last comment here. I haven't been home since they came in to check if it is all there, but the comics are, and that is what's important.
It's best to send him a tweet, that's how I got him to respond. And those are more visible than contacting him on facebook.
I haven't heard anything or received anything since I contacted him on his Facebook page back in August. At this point, given the lack of communication, I'm just writing it off and will be sad that I won't get to read the comic. It looked interesting.
Still haven't got mine, even though I was promised it would be sent in March.
Just got my pledge today, sadly no bonus stuff or the promised kidneys were added.
Tweeting him seems to do the trick. I tweeted him yesterday, and I got an e-mail within the hour. I also requested that he posts an update here.
Anyone going to NYCC and want to confront him there?
I haven't received any replies to my mails yet Rafer. It does say a lot that almost all comments here are complaints about the delivery and makes me wonder how many people actually got their package seing as how many people are complaining here vs having 153 backers.
Any news? I've still received nothing.
Seems like Tristans comment was removed. So he has the time to remove comments, but not to respond to e-mails/tweets/...
I just left a comment at http://emecomics.com/about/. Let's see if that gets me a reply of some sort. Honestly, I just want to read the comic.
At least he responded to your e-mail, I've send him 2 e-mails and received a response to neither.
He can learn a lot about communicating with your pledgers from the creator of "The mighty titan".
I contacted him on email, he said he'd send my items and I said replace the extras with whatever he had available and then I heard nada. Kind of irritated at this point and probably confronting him at the next con I see him at.
And there went July, and while it's nice that he posts his e-mail address I have yet to receive a response to my e-mail that I sent in May when he initially posted that...
See my last post where I mentioned we should start was contacting some people? Within two hours of contacting Kickstarter, he posted the next message in the comments thread. Perhaps more people should contact them or maybe even Bleeding Cool.
Well that was June...
So, here's the comedy of errors that led to the lateness:
A considerable amount of my backstock--nearly all of the graphic novels I had set aside as "rewards" for donors were accidentally destroyed when a roommate of mine moved out.
The printer I used to print them was local, and no longer exists. I've tried to lock down another printer, have have failed.
So, yeah, there are a very small handful of you who are still owed things. You guys are saints. I owe all of you kidneys, handjobs, etcetera.
I'm gonna work on sending out copies of the Thor book (of which I have plenty) immediately, and then either refund folks' money for the rest of the rewards, or offer replacements.
This is incredibly humbling, and a bummer for everyone involved, and I truly appreciate your patience.
There honestly aren't that many of you left. Most backers received their stuff. I swear to God, I'm not some Doctor Doom scam artist guy.
If there's anything else that I can do to make it up to you folks, please don't hesitate to let me know.
My email is: ericMesquivel@gmail.com, and I believe you all have my twitter, facebook, and all of that jazz.
Seriously: kidneys and hand jobs all around.
And I promise to never use Kickstarter ever, ever, ever again.
I have contacted Kickstarter about his refusal to respond and about us not getting rewards. I'll see what they say, maybe then I'll see who else we can start contacting to get something done.
I tried tweeting\mailing him but no response.
He moved to LA recently, I'd say Twitter is the best way to contact him.
I emailed him and sent a message through Kickstarter and no response.
Many people still waiting?
Still nothing here. I'll see if emailing gets me anywhere.
Any update Eric? I've sent you a mail a while ago, but no response.
Bit annoying to hear nothing from you whilst we could have bought the comic ages ago through moonstonebooks.
Hey, guys--there shouldn't be very many of you left. I'm doin' the best I can and should be done soon.
I've replied to most of you individually. If you haven't head from me recently, hit me up at ericMesquivel@gmail.com anytime.
Guessing that at this point I'm not the only one thinking that we've all been taken for a ride.
It's now been over a year since the projected delivery date. Updates would be appreciated.
I emailed him twice over the last few months, very disheartening to see the lack of progress on this for backers.
I pledged $40 and have not received anything yet. I don't want a refund. I was just excited about the stuff and would like to know what's happening.
April 2 and I still have seen nada.
Coming up to the end of March - how many people still haven't got their copies?
All it takes is an updated to keep people happy. That's what the update function is here for.
@Simon_Verhoeven Hey! I'm sending these out as fast as I can. They should all be resolved by the end of March. I appreciate your patience
Mister Esquivel any update? At this rate we even won't have it by April 2013 (rather than the projected 2012).
Still nada here in the good ol continental US of A . For 10 bucks perhaps I shouldn't expect much, but I was hoping to get something after an year plus wait and my good faith
Still nothing here in Ireland......
Waiting also. The delay is going into its sixth month now...
Tweeted Mr Esquivel this last night:
"Any news about ThunderChrist? A number of us kickstarter backers have yet to receive anything... "
"Mailing 'em out as fast as I can, with bonus swag as a token of appreciation for your patience! Delay due to a reprint issue. "
And a moment later:
"A couple of printers/people dropped the ball on that one--which is HORRIFYINGLY EMBARRASSING. The issue'll be resolved soon. "
I've yet to receive anything either.
I'm curious as well. Still anxious to read this.
Eric, any chance you could tell us how far you are along the backer list?
Hey! I mailed a bunch of stuff last weekend and I'll do the same this weekend.
There was a SUPER DUMB mishap wherein a bunch of my "rewards" were damaged--and then I had trouble printing new ones.
Problem has been solved, and I'm mailing 'em out as quickly as I can! With bonus stuff!
Why the delay ?
April 2012 won't be back and November is also history.
Today was supposed to be the end of the world by the Mayan calender.....hope I get comix before :)
