The Hey It's September Update!

Posted by Greg Rucka (Creator)

I was going to call this the "Hey It's September Enough with the Grief Already Update," but I thought that might be too tacky. So I'm doing it here, which is probably just as tacky, but if you can't use humor to see yourself through darkness, you gotta figure you'll be in the dark a long time, right?

What's Going On?

As many of you know, my father passed away at the end of July, following a long illness. As it relates to the Kickstarter, it pretty much shut us down entirely on all fronts for the summer. Now we're at the edge of Autumn, and discovering the new normal, so to speak.

Shipping is resuming this week. We're still a two-person (mostly one-person) operation, and Jen's getting back up to speed while balancing all the other things she must do. We'll be recruiting some more assistance next week, and if all goes well (and let me tell you, the way our luck has run, I'm hesitant to even use that phrase...) we should be putting most, if not all, of the remaining fulfillment items in the post by the end of the month.

That is not a guarantee. If I've learned anything from the Kickstarter experience it's that Kickstarter Campaigns make plans and God laughs.

Lady Sabre

We'd gone on hiatus at the webcomic in an attempt to focus our efforts on fulfillment. Then life trampled us and the comic suffered.

We have resumed posting as of today. You can find the newest screen here.

So many of you reached out with kind words of support, sympathy, empathy, and condolences over the past six weeks. You have no idea how much it means to myself and my family. Your support, your patience, and your words have genuinely made a very difficult time for all of us here a little bit easier to bear.

So thank you. Sincerely, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Hold fast,

The Okay I've Been Patient But What's Going On? Update

Posted by Greg Rucka (Creator)

A lot, frankly, but most of it you don't really care about. What you do care about is where your books are. Here's where we stand of 13 July.

We're still shipping, we're going as fast as we can, and we've had some hiccups. In particular, I (Greg) have been dealing with some things that, frankly, I'd rather not get into here.

Shipping is ongoing, we're doing our best to get everything out to everyone, and hopefully the next several weeks will see the completion of this phase of the Kickstarter. I am loathe to offer a "definitive" date to anyone, simply because I've learned the hard way that the moment I do that, the Universe points, laughs, and proceeds to kick our collective legs out from beneath us.

All of us involved with Lady Sabre recognize that it must be very, very frustrating to be a backer who has yet to receive your set of books and to hear/see other backers talking about receiving theirs. We are sincerely trying to please everyone, which, I suppose, is a sure-fire way to please no one, but we must make the effort.

Books are shipping. If you haven't received yours yet, it is %99.9 certain that is because it hasn't been sent as yet. As I said in the prior update, once all shipping is completed, I'll post a message to that effect, and those of you who've yet to receive your books can set your stopwatches from that point.

As always, your patience is appreciated.

Hold Fast,
