To the Printer!

Posted by Greg Rucka (Creator)

The files, after long, long last, are finally off to the printer. We expect the proofs back in short-order, and from there it's a matter of final checks and getting the presses running.

So, with that in mind, sharing two more images with y'all.

The Dust Jacket

This is the actual, complete, full dust jacket that adorns the basic trade:

The Annotated Process

And this is the cover to the annotated script book:

Two Plugs

I'd be remiss if I didn't take the opportunity to mention two campaigns, one here on Kickstarter and one on Indiegogo.

The first, on Kickstarter, is for Vito Delsante's comic, STRAY. He's shooting for 8K to bring his creator-owned work to print. I've known Vito for years, now, and I'd love to see him bring this project to fruition.

The second, on Indiegoge, is for Pere Perez's SHAOLIN MUTANTS. It's a gentle, sensitive coming-of-age-story about a kung-fu fighter in a world of dinosaurs.

Yes, you heard that right. Kung-fu and dinosaurs

Pere was the artist on Eric Trautmann's and my run on Action Comics. He's a terrific artist, a terrific guy, and Shaolin Mutants is a labor of love for him. Please consider tossing him some coin.

One Appeal

Those of you who follow comics may have heard about the unfortunate events in creator Steve Niles' life recently. The very quick version is that he and his wife, Monica Richards, have been flooded out of their home outside of Austin, Texas.

There are a couple of ways you can help. There's an eBay auction, the proceeds of which will go to helping Steve et al rebuild; your can also purchase some of Steve and Monica's work from their respective webstores. Steve's is here; Monica's you'll find here.

As ever, as always, thanks for your patience and support.

Hold fast!

I love the Process Book cover -- gorgeous.

The dust jacket is just beautiful: Rick's design is so smart, so clean, the images are vibrant and apt and "pop out" in the most delightful way! I've always appreciated the mechanics of what you and Rick have done for LADY SABRE, that you have grounded this fantastic "pirates, lawmen & Indians" tale in as much "brick & mortar" contemporaneous detail as you could, as reflected in your Annotated Process Book cover: love the image of Pegasus!

Is that dust jacket for sale?

Way ahead of you. I've bought some books from Steve Niles' store to help out a bit.
