The New Horizon

Posted by Greg Rucka (Creator)

It's taken a little longer than we would've liked, but Rick, Eric, and I have finalized the next batch of Stretch Goals. You can find them on the Lady Sabre Kickstarter page in the Stretch Goals section, obviously enough, but here's what we're doing:

At 90K - A Better Book For All - This is an across-the-board alteration to the Lady Sabre & The Pirates of the Ineffable Aether Vol. I trade. If we make this goal, we will increase the thickness of the covers to make them more substantial; move to a higher paper weight on the endpapers, and also be printing these in color; and we'll improve the interior paper weight to better hold art and reproduce said color.

At 100K - The Cartographer's Craft

At 110K - Rick 2.0

At 120K - Deckplans

So there's that.

DIRIGIBLE DAYS

The folks who made this are now hard at work funding their next steampunk adventure, in the form of a graphic novel with cover art by our own Rick Burchett. You can find their campaign here.

Art by Chris Bailey.

The Dirigible Days crew are, frankly, awesome, and not solely because we share a love of airships, steampunk, and pirates. Their work is quality, their passion evident, and - bonus - they're just darn nice folks. Please give their campaign a look, and consider helping to back them. They've got 15 days to go, and they're almost funded.

Character AR-K

Finally - for today! - there's another bit of video up with me talking about the characters from AR-K, in particular, the character of Sasha Blaine.

The plans we have for Blaine are genuinely exciting to me; as I've said before, AR-K is a mature game in its humor and language, and we're trying to subvert some of the normal genre tropes, here, as well. Please, as always, consider giving us support in the AR-K campaign.

Next update, we're going to share some of the webcomics love, so beware the link-spam!

Thank you for your time, and thanks for your wonderful support. On to the horizon!

Hold fast!

Greg

I really hope AR-K makes its goal, and even if it doesn't that it still gets made someway somehow, it looks extremely promising.

You didn't misread it, I mis-wrote it. Yes, the endpapers will become a 2cx2c process, and if we reach the Cartographer goal, we'll be printing the Map of the Sphere on the endpapers, as well.

Wait... you mean colour endpapers, don't you? I totally misread it :)

      Full steam ahead, Captain!

Just a quick question - you say:

"...and also be printing these in color; and we'll improve the interior paper weight to better hold art and reproduce said color."

The trade is already in colour - unless you mean this stretch goal will up the trade to a two-colour process instead of one, as you said you were looking at in an earlier update?

      Cheers!
