Definitely Alex. However, we do not have all the backer's email at this point. The only channel of communicating with our backers is either by messaging on Kickstarter, comments or updates. But we will definite keep all of you posted. Thanks for your support!!

      Hi Samuel,

Thanks for your support! Below please find the answers for your questions below,

      1. Can I use the device while charging?
Yes, you can still use it while charging. You can either plug into the wall or you can also charge the Twiink with your power bank, so you do not have to be restricted to only places with wall mount.

      2. Can I keep the charging cable plugged in forever or is it better to remove it?
The Twiink has a built in 2100 mAh lithium rechargeable battery. So for the final product it will have an indicator telling you when the battery is fully charged. It's basically like your regular portable desk lamp; it shouldn't be a problem keeping it plugged in all the time.

      3. Anything European users should know? Plugs, electricity, laws, certificates...
Our final product will come with an USB cable, so you can just plug it into any of your existing USB wall plugs. You can use the Twiink anywhere in the world without concerning the power.

      4. How do you estimate the bluetooth connection quality?
This time the connectivity is a lot less complicated. We will not have the problem where you have to connect 10 or above bulbs. As a matter of fact, we have already solved that problem after the new OS has released, which has reduced a lot of restriction. Also, we have new software experts on our team and at the same time we are planning opening up the API for anyone who wants to work on the app or improve the app

      5. Which versions OS versions for Android you aim to support?
We are aiming to support Android 4.2 (JELLY_BEAN_MR1) and above.

      6. Can you make a statement about the brightness of the device? Like, is it more like a nightlight or can I read a book 2 meters away from it too?
The Twiink is a mood light and a fun decoration and puzzle, so it’s not meant for reading.

      Hi Twiinks!

This is a very creative product and I hope this will get made. I really like the possibilities and the fun one can have.

I've got some questions for you. Can I use the device while charging? It seems logical that I can but it hasn't been stated clearly. I'd rather use the device as a static object, rarely as a portable one. Can I keep the charging cable plugged in forever or is it better to remove it?

Anything european users should know? Plugs, electricity, laws, certificates...

How do you estimate the bluetooth connection quality? The Lumini connectivity is a little poor but ok for a kickstart. I would prefer less stress this time ;)

Thats it for now. Good luck guys!!

Hi Stevens we are designing the battery to be 1800mah to 2100mah, this is the capacity of an iPhone battery. The calculation of how long the block last is based on the LED light maximum output. In any usual use case the product should last much longer each charge.

I didn't understand "Twiink will still be portable when you are charging". Also I see the blocks has some kind of pin to fit in other block, what is that?

    7. Stevens on December 8, 2014

I would like to know the minimum time for 12 block, is that an hour or more. 1 hour is not very long and a reason to cancel my pledge. It should be at least a couple of hours. Don't like the idea of a battery pack. It hurts the design and makes it les nice to put it on a desk or table.

      Hi Arckal,

      Please find your answer below,
      1) Yes battery is rechargeable. It can be charge by any micro-usb charger or any power bank is fine as well. With the power bank the Twiink will still be portable when you are charging, you won't need to be tied with a fix power source. It depends on how many blocks you are using, at this moment for 24 blocks at the maximum brightness, the battery can last
      minimum of 30 mins.

      2) Yes, it's capable of connecting two sets with one iOS device.

      3) It's Bluetooth Smart. So it's more energy saving and you do not need a router or a bridge to connect it. Because we want to make Twiink 100% portable and plug a play.

      4) Each blocks are connected securely by 8 industrial grade magnet. Even though 12 blocks are easy to move around but it might be too heavy to hold with just the base block. You will still need to hold the body.

      5) The base block contains a battery, a bluetooth module and a PCB control. I can take more detail photos of the control box to show you later.

Hope this help answer your questions. If you are unclear about anything please feel free to contact us again.

      Thank you!
      Karen

      few questions:
      1) Battery is rechargeable? What charger comes with it? how long battery would hold?
      2) Can two sets (12/6 block) connected to single iOS devices and controlled simultaneously?
      3) Does it use BLE or wifi to connect smartphone
      4) How strongly blocks hold each other, I mean after connecting 12 blocks in one row, can it be used to move around by holding base block?
      5) tell us more about base block (I guess it has battery)??
