With 15K, we could launch an effective marketing and distribution campaign as well as get a proper website up and running. This is key to getting our music "out there" which would allow us to get booked at venues across the country-in other words we could come to you. This was our original goal but we thought it was a bit high.
Who are we?
Siblings Zach and Niki grew up in Colorado where they both found an interest in music, but it wasn't until 2010 that they had ever really collaborated on their shared passion.
Zach grew up playing in the high school jazz band. In college, he was introduced to bluegrass and picked up the banjo. He would go on to play with the band Oakhurst for 7 years before deciding to leave to focus on his own music.
Niki hit the road at a young age, hopping trains and hitchhiking all around the country with her Ukelele. She landed in Brooklyn and stayed for a few years developing her sound. One day, after Niki had returned to Denver, Zach phoned her up and had her over to try singing on some of his songs and things really clicked. Some call it, "blood harmony". Some call it "really, really good". Some people have even said, "Wow". Take a listen to "Can We TryThis Again" below and decide for yourself.
Between the two of them and their different backgrounds, they have found a unique sound complete with vocal harmonies that only a brother and sister can share. Silversmith is born.

"Can We Try This Again?" by Silversmith
We can't even begin to explain...
It's hard finding the right words to describe how excited andready to get in the studio we are. We can't wait to share our songs with the you! By pledging money, you actually become a part of the project, and in exchange for your generosity, we're offering a long list of rewards at various commitment levels. Most of the rewards are one-of-a-kind, handmade, original pieces of art. That includes paintings, jewelry, music and more.
Here's the rub- If funding isn't reached by our deadline, everyone's pledges are returned in full, no rewards are handed out, and we all go home empty handed... HOWEVER!!! If we reach that goal, everybody gets their rewards, and...
... a new record is born
We can't do this without you...
Silversmith's forthcoming EP, Uncle Microphone, is a collection of songs that lead singer, Zach Daniels has written over the course of the last few years. Studio time has been booked with Clint Lagerberg at his home studio in Nashville, TN where he will be recording, producing, and mixing our songs. He is currently working with country star, Josh Kelley, and Kevin Jonas (Jonas Brothers) so we're thankful he found time in his big ol' schedule for little ol' us! ;) Needless to say, Clint is the man and we're very happy to be working with him.
We are proud to bring Josh Finley on board to design our first t-shirt. Josh is a phenomenal illustrator that resides in Denver, CO. You can check out his work here!
Another local artist chipping in for the cause is actual silversmith, Kim Van de Kerkhove. Kim is Zach's wife and has mad skills with the metal. Kim also paints beautifully and is a wonderful photographer. A true arteeest! Check out her work here
