This project's funding goal was not reached on November 18, 2013.
About this project
Sticky buns, cakes, famous oatmeal cranberry cookies, endless tarts and pies, candy, fresh bread. The menu is an endless display case of real bakery goods made fresh every day using our own farm fresh eggs and other products from local growers.
This will all soon be available at a new bakery in Wentzville, Missouri. Wentzville has become one of the fastest growing town's in the nation, and in my twenty-five years of living here, only one thing has been missing: a specialty bakery!
That's where YOU come in. In the last few months we have secured our location and began our construction (which started with a little destruction, both fun and not so fun). Walls were taken down and walls were put up. Massive holes were cut in concrete, and the kitchen is so close to being complete. The decorating process has been the most fun, of course. We've searched yard sales and flea markets for vintage baking tools to display, chosen the perfect paint palette, made a chandelier out of colanders, and have started working on a penny floor (that's right, a floor of pennies)!
Suddenly, things have taken a bit longer than expected. We are looking to complete the kitchen construction and purchase the remaining appliances needed to open including refrigeration. Any money raised after the goal has been met will go towards upgrading current equipment. It's a big goal, but we know we will make it, with your help!
Please take a look at some of the rewards for pledges on the right side of your screen, and see what fits your budget and needs. If you are not able to pledge, but would like to support our family dream, please take a moment to pass our story around to your friends, neighbors, relatives, coworkers, acquaintances, enemies, anyone who you feel would be interested and LOVES cakes and pastries! Remember, if the full amount is not raised, the project funding is over, and we get nothing!

Risks and challenges
The only risk and challenges we can foresee is the possibility of selling out of deliciousness before closing time! Luckily, I've got great contacts through the culinary school I graduated from and can call in help any time!
Our experience so far in the process has taught us to expect the unexpected. However, every project has the potential for setbacks, and we feel we are well prepared to take on a challenge. My husband brings his Bachelor's in Business to the table combined with my Culinary Education. We feel we have a positive relationship to our City Developers, and our Contractor also has strong ties with the community.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Your credit card will not be charged until the project is ended, November 18th, 2013.
This is an all or nothing project. If the project doesn't reach the $6000 mark, then no one is charged a cent! However, that also means that any pledge that has been made are cancelled and we receive nothing.
It all keeps adding up! Anything over the goal amount still goes to the project! Anything extra will go towards updating the equipment we already have.
