I've pledged your project on Jul 10 2015 via kickstarter. I would like to get a refund.

... and the refund showed up in my bank account this morning.

... and I'm getting the refund via PayPal, likely within the next couple of days.
      I would suggest contacting H+ (www.hplustech.com).

      Guys - I just got a letter from H+:
      Dear Customer,

First of all, we apologize for the delayed response. We have been overwhelmed with the messages, but we want to ensure best customer care as possible. We understand that you have ordered our machine long time back. As we face further delays, we are offering you refund upon your approval and further CA$500 credits with Holus applications (software) when we launch the product.

For Kickstarter backers, please note that Kickstarter charged a transaction fee (8% plus $0.20) when you put your order and it is non refundable. This amount will be deducted from your total reimbursement amount. Also, we can only process the refund through PayPal right now and there may be another transaction fee applied when you received your money.

We further thank you for all your support. Kindly let us know if you would like to receive your refund.

The answer that I got from Kickstarter support was:

      Hi Norman,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing frustration with this project.

If you are interested in getting a refund for this project, please reach out directly to the creator. While we work with creators to help them find funding for their projects, all money raised goes directly to the creator and is managed by the creator (with only a small fee passing through Kickstarter's hands).

To get in contact with a creator, I recommend messaging them through our platform, leaving a comment on their page, or reaching out through their social channels or website (where they might be more readily available for questions).

Though I can't assist directly with getting a reimbursement, I am here to help. Hiccups can happen along the way when bringing a creative idea to life, but that shouldn't turn into a bad experience for you as a backer. I hope this matter is resolved soon and am happy to help if you have any other questions or concerns.

I've posted the following on the Kickstarter support page:
The last posting by the creators was two years ago; I contacted the company three months ago and got a form-letter e-mail stating that they were accepting pre-orders.
I invoke my rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use:
      https://www.kickstarter.com/terms-of-use/oct2012
"Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill."
I demand a full refund for my pledge amount.

It's now been two years since the last posting by H+ in this channel, and three months since I asked for clarification of the status of the product.
I have seen and touched the Holus, so I know that it exists, but I've lost faith in their desire to actually ship it to backers.

Perhaps posting the 'I invoke my rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use' here will not have an effect, especially if H+ team members don't read the posts.
Here is a link to Kickstarter Support - https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new - I'd post there, with a link back to the project page.

H+ team: Production delays are one thing, a total lack of communication is another. I’d prefer a refund of my pledge, but it seems the least you could do is let us all know what happened. I think most of us realize there’s little chance of seeing either money or product.

      Response from Hplustech:
      Hi Norman,

Currently we are still in the early stage of manufacturing, and both Holus home and Holus pro are for pre-order only. The shipping date will be confirmed later on with a detailed schedule send from the manufacture factories. The first batch of manufacture will have small production quantity, we will increase the quantity gradually for supply chain management and customer service quality purpose. Our kickstarter backers who supported H+ from zero will be the priority.

We apologize for all the delays and appreciate your support so far.

      Sincerely,

      H+ Team

@Robert Clayton I sent an e-mail to hplustech last week, asking for the status of the Kickstarter rewards - I have not received a response at all.
Have you considered reporting the project to the Kickstarter organization?

It's now been a month since I asked for an update; I'd very much appreciate some indication that progress is being made, no matter how slowly.
For all those who've asked for a refund - this is not a store, and the time to ask for a refund is before the campaign ends, not months later.
Again, Kickstarter is not a store and I've backed many projects that are months - and, in some cases, years - late.
However, they did post updates that, at least, let us know that progress was being made.

No updates for more than year, sad. If the project didn't work out' that's fine. But since you are not giving any updates it should probably mean you are not working on it. You still may save your personal reputation by returning at least part of the money.

    43. Wen Chen on

The company is still in business as I give them a call, though they still not sure about manufacturing status. It must be a frustrating situation for them. The same tech I have seen last summer in other museum display in China, not a brand new tech anyway. With the pushing of VR, it is behind time now. Many shops using same tech for display, though in smaller size. The development is sort of behind competition.
