HUMAN FOOD TRIAL - CHARI HAWKINS
"I loved Human food so much!!! Honestly the worst part about it is that I am out of them!!!"
Monday: Day 1
Mondays are my jammed packed busy days, and within those days I also have two workout sessions. I saved my HF bar for right after practice, because I had so much that I had to get done that day, and I am usually starving after practice! The first thing that I noticed was the fudgey texture, which I absolutely loved! There was so much to the bar, and I loved that it didn't taste like chocolate, because after a long workout high amounts of sugar is not what I'm looking for! It was a bit oily, and the packaging was difficult to work with, but I remember you mentioning that it was part of the trial, and that the actual bars wouldn't be that way. I was halfway through the bar, already no longer feeling hungry. It was the best, because I knew that I had a few hours before I was going to be able to have dinner. Honestly it held me off through all of the things I got done, AFTER a huge and long workout day!
Tuesday: Day 2
Tuesday mornings are my lifting days. I was running late, so I grabbed my human food bar, hoping that I was going to give me enough energy to get me through my gym session. WOW! Honestly I was so full and focused, never once feeling tired or hungry. This is GENUINELY something that I have never gotten from a bar!
Wednesday: Day 3
This was a LOOOONG hurdle session day, and I wanted to try HF out for a "during the workout" bar, so I ate it between sets of 12,10,8,6 2,2 hurdle workout. I was so thrilled about the taste and texture for this. For anyone that knows about workouts (or competitions), it is SO hard to eat during them, especially being nervous for a specific workout or comp. Whenever I eat a bar with that "fake sugar" taste and texture, it cues my gag reflex instantly. HF is SO easy to eat during workouts. GAME CHANGER for me!
Thursday: Day 4
I was excited to go to work today because it was my lifting day again. I felt really energized, and hit a new pb for back squat at 110 kg! It was such a good day, and LOVED HF and how it helped keep me full and ready to go!
Friday: Day 5
This is my sprint endurance day. I was really nervous, because it was my first time back on the track doing harder runs, but I was able to get through it with so much energy and speed! The worst thing to have happen when I run is when I have to do a hard workout is to have either being too full or too empty, and HF gives me the perfect balance and I loved it! I was so thrilled to be able to try Human Food, and loved the product immensely! I definitely want to share you company and work with you guys, because your company is something that I truly love and really want to spread the word about!
Everything about my diet, exercise, water and supplement intake was the same as my regular routine. The only change to my diet this week was Human Food.
-Texture (loved that though there was a lot to it, it all was very cohesive I didn't get lots of different textures in it)
-Perfect amount of food for what I need
-Kept me full long term
-Made me feel light, bouncy, clean (as if I had the perfect diet)
-I do wish it were a bit longer and less wide (I had a hard time biting into it, I had to tear it or it would get stuck in my teeth because of the combo size and texture)
The week trial was great, but I think that working with Human Food on a more regular and long term basis would be so insanely beneficial for my training and lifestyle in general! I would like to see how it affects my performance long term.
