1 DAY LEFT! You're Always Innocent When you Dream

Thank you for the support, the excitement, the energy, spreading the word, and everything else you've given!  The gains in the last few days have been crazy good.  We still have a big gap in these last 24 hours, but it's happened before.  As Tom Waits put it, You're Always Innocent When You Dream ;)

Go, spread the word for all it's worth for one more day!!!

I also echo what other have said.

It's a shame that this didn't get funded, but I do hope you bring it back around for a round 2.

However, I think starting your initial goal at a lower cost if at all possible would be a good idea, same with reevaluating your stretch goals. And this is where my main bit of feedback comes from: I know some of the folks I linked this to balked at the stretch goals and got turned off by the way they were structured. Reward tiers themselves could be tweaked a bit as well, though I am not sure how. Also having the multiplayer tier stretched out so far was a turn off for many.

Another bit of feedback I observed was some hesitance as to whether or not you would be able to actually deliver what was being pitched (some folks mentioned the bullshot ordeals with the recent Aliens: Colonial Marines and having been burned by that - again, a shame because that kind of thing hurts the whole industry, from AAA game creators to small indy devs...)

Either way, I hope you keep your facebook and other social pages going, I am definitely keeping an eye on you guys and hoping for another pledge drive, as I truly believe this game could make huge waves, especially with modders and aspiring game creators, to industry pros and gamers.

Really a shame, a game couldn't possibly be better engineered for EXACTLY what I want in a game. I will continue to watch for any possible way I can help fund this project.

Shattered, Hopefully this gets re-birthed and takes off. Would have been a great game.
One thing that turned off my mates though was the lack of multiplayer without hitting the stretch goals. Maybe if multiplayer is planned at the release you'll get more backers.

I did my best guys, really sorry we didn't make it. I really hope you have another go at this and if I can I'll try to pledge a bit more next time. Good luck to you in the future, I really hope this game gets made one day.

    5. Theresa MacFarlane on March 6, 2013

Wow. I'm so sorry this didn't make it. Please do try again! My fiance and I will help spread the word & fund it once again!

      hello ...

If I had the money or won the lottery, would without any hesitation invest totally in that game, been sharing on FB and seems like it's quite hard to reach that goal, maybe if possible to extend would advise for this game is worth it & would come back with the 50$ pledge + more when possible ... even every month ;) ...

good luck, please do come back with more time!

    7. Dave Reece on March 6, 2013

Just bumped from $20 to $50. I really want this to be a thing.

    8. EvanTheGamer on March 6, 2013

This is like a "Dream Game" of mine. To be able to do whatever your heart desires. Whatever your imagination conjures up. Anything is possible with a game like this. ANYTHING! And with only 10 hours to go and less than $150k more to raise, there is little hope, unfortunately. :(

I remember seeing that one game video where someone was controlling fireballs and tornado's. That was awhile ago, but I thought, "WHAT game is this?! I want it now!" Then that game was brought to light in The Awakened!

So close yet so far away still. I am really hoping that someone donates a huge chunk of change to this great idea. To this great cause. To this DREAM GAME! I really hope The Awakened comes to fruition because I just know that this game WOULD BE one-of-a-kind and would be an instant classic!

Rooting for you guys to succeed...really hope you guys do!

Pledge doubled, Please start again if we don't make it this time around!

    10. Peter Jacob on March 5, 2013

$20 to $50. /sigh I like to think it is from a lack of exposure/marketing. I dunno. It's all prayers from here on out.

    11. Lee Weller on March 5, 2013

@Alex Quick, how fitting that you share the name with the Creative Director of unreleased shark stealth game title 'Depth' which was also treading new ground and should have been more popular than it was.

    12. Shade Kirby on March 5, 2013

      @Alex Quick,

To some people it's not that they don't want creativity and fun, they're just not sure Project Awakened can truly deliver on those fronts.

Personally I hope this project gets funded, if not, I'll be around for Round 2.

Definitely, guys, if this doesn't make it, try again. Put together a slick presentation package, tout the story and plot as well as the customization, and you'll likely make it. A whole bunch of us, if not all of us, will be back for a second go.

That said, I'm still rooting for it in these last few hours. Go, go, go!

    14. Cipher- Weaver of lost dreams on March 5, 2013

@Phosphor I can't unsee that video, in fact I'm sure people would pledge more if you swore never to sing again:P But i'm sure the military could adapt it in to an frequency weapon. :P Now that I think about it developer drunken sonic attack should be a power in the game:P

ps Still need some idea if the story and setting any chance of that?

I doubled my pledge too, it's time for a new genre....

    16. João Varandas on March 5, 2013

Get Heineken to sponsor the game.

    17. Andrew Bacon Rushakoff on March 5, 2013

For the sake of all that is awesome, I hope you guys make it.

    18. Koshinator on March 5, 2013

Well.. doubled my pledge... This is going to be a miracle if we make it, but as you've said - It's happened before.

    19. chabuhi on March 5, 2013

      What? No Harlem Shake? ;-p

    20. Jason Dasilva on March 5, 2013

@ Alex Quick - Trust me, I think just about everyone will.

As others have said, if this doesn't work out, I'd be more than happy to back a second Kickstarter. Heck, you guys could set up a PayPal based fundraiser on your own website to bolster pledges!
      Good luck!!!

    23. Jordan York on March 5, 2013

Hoping for a miracle here, but even if you don't make it you'll have around 6000 fans waiting for a reboot. Then just re-evaluate the pledge tiers (maybe package some more of the add-ons in to the collectors edition, for example), get more footage together, then come back and kickstart this beast of a project :)

    24. Energiekuchen on March 5, 2013

True! Give it another try later that year, and I'm on your side again!

    25. Alex Quick on March 5, 2013

The fact that this wasn't funded fast shows us that gamers really don't want fun and creativity D: I hope y'all can pull it out. Hell if we even have to make a new kickstarter I'll support this game again.
