Reign of the judges is a card game where you join one of three teams that is fighting to control the judgment seat. One player is the Chief Judge, and everyone else secretly becomes a Nephite, Lamanite, or Gadianton Robber.
Gain votes by defeating the other players that you believe are on different teams. At the end of the game, everyone reveals their identity and the team with the most votes wins.
Reign of the Judges comes with a two piece box and over 150 playing cards. The cards contain beautiful original artwork by the legendary Micah Clegg.
In addition to your team, each player assumes a character from the Book of Mormon. Here are a few examples:
Play continues with a deck of over 120 action cards. Action cards allow players to attack opponents, restore health, strengthen fortifications, and much, much more.
Why should you back Reign of the Judges?
The game is entertaining because it is different every time. You will play it over and over again.
One engaging aspect is that once you are defeated, you are not out of the game. After losing a vote to your attacker, you regain your life points at the beginning of your next turn and can immediately help your team battle for power. This means everyone remains important throughout the game.
As an added bonus, each card includes a citation to where that person or activity is described in the Book of Mormon. This provides an easy way for players to get accustomed to a number of the people, places, and events in the scriptures.
Backing the project will help us raise the money we need to publish the game. So not only will you get a copy of the game at a great price (and saving on shipping) but you also get to tell your friends that you helped make this game happen!

Risks and challenges
This is our very first game. That means we're super excited, but also it means there is a risk that certain manufacturing steps might take longer than we realize. We've done our best to mitigate this risk by doing lots of research and getting a quote on price and time from an experienced game manufacturer. If there are any delays, we will keep you well-informed.
Also, we are putting the final touches on refining the card layout prototypes and box cover. These should be ready during the Kickstarter project, and we look forward to revealing them to our Kickstarter backers in the next 40 days.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
