After being inspired by my clients at work as an art therapist, seeing how relaxation helps some of them immensely, I set forth to create my own relaxation album so that they could benefit from the relaxation methods I use with them far beyond their treatment, as well as with the world as a whole. When I posited the idea about doing such a project, I was amazed at not only the overwhelming sense of support to do so, but also by the offers of high-caliber professionals around the world to contribute to make it happen. I took that as a sign to move forward, and here we are now!
It is well-known that people find it hard to relax, and increasing numbers of people find it difficult to sleep well also. Using original guided imagery, I take you through soothing scenarios to help your mind focus on something calming, and the original music that supports these scripts are created by world-class musicians, who bring their gifts of composition and performance to perfectly punctuate each visual detail to help your mind and body relax and become calmer.
Meet the cast
Originally hailing from the Green Mountains of Vermont, Jonah found a deep love for music as a toddler and as he grew older this passion only grew stronger. Jonah is completely self taught on keyboards/piano and has relied on his ear and his emotion as a way of creating, composing, and generating his musical creations over the years. At age 19, Jonah auditioned for what was to become Pyramaze, the highly acclaimed international Progressive Metal band that he remains a member of to this day.
In addition to a rich and full career with Pyramaze, Jonah has performed on many albums and projects over the years, collaborating with the likes of Dave Ellefson (Megadeth), James Murphy (Testament, Death), Matt Barlow (Iced Earth), Bill Hudson (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and Grammy nominated producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe). 2016-17 have been big years for Jonah, resulting in multiple releases on major labels worldwide including AFM Records, Universal, and Inner Wound Recordings. Also in 2016, Jonah formed the metal duo Sentinels with legendary vocalist Matt Barlow, and in September of 2017 joined Australian progressive metal band Teramaze. On top of all his work in the metal/rock worlds, Jonah is also an accomplished composer of independent films, video game soundtracks, sports team anthems, and epic trailer music.

This project has some basic costs that need to be covered to create this album, including funds for the musicians, studio time, mastering, artwork and layout, replication of the album, fulfilling the rewards, and other fees. Although this endeavor has already begun, there is still a lot to cover. There are different types of rewards from which to choose, including a couple of Kickstarter Exclusives that won't be available after this campaign is over, so look around to see what suits your fancy. Some of the rewards are limited edition, and have only 1 available for each of those levels, such as getting your own signed copy of an original script used during recording or sponsoring one of the tracks on the album.
Risks and challenges
There are few risks to this project. At this time, all of the tracks have already been recorded and are sent off for mastering and preparation for production. It will take time to then get the album duplicated and everything ready for shipment to the backers, but aside from that, this project is all systems go!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
