My names Rob and I’m the creator of the t-shirt designs your about to see, I use my alias name of Inkitout when doing illustration work. Illustration/Art is a full time hobby for me, It’s something I enjoy doing, paid commissions help out from time to time. I’d like more people to see my work which is why I want to create a range of awesome Inkitout t-shirts!
I’ve always liked the t-shirt as one of the best mediums to show off my work. I’ve illustrated designs for many t-shirts in the past, most of these designs have been used to successfully win competition prize money on crowd voting websites. My long term goal was always to print my own range of t-shirt designs but the prize money and small commission work never quite covered the printing investment. When I design a t-shirt I always try to come up with a design that I would actually wear myself. I hope these first few designs get support so I can go on to add more designs to the collection.
My dream would be to see a stranger proudly wearing a t-shirt that I had designed! Maybe one day!.
Where the money will go
I’ve learned through experience and trial and error that printing quality t-shirts can be very expensive but I set my standards high. Only a top quality product will do, If I’m going to make these products I want them to be made right. I am working with a great company that specializes in water-based ink screen printing, and uses eco-friendly printing, cleaning and disposal methods. Obviously with a screen printed product, the more items you get made the better price you get.
The donations will cover the Screen Printing prices only; I will be putting some of my own money towards the project to pay for the Kickstarter and Amazon fees as well as a few extras such as indevidual packaging.
Any extra money over the target goal would go towards improving the product, getting more printed, setting up a dedicated website and adding new designs.
T-shirt #1 #2 and #3 are titled BearCode, at a glance you might just see three polar bears in front of a barcode but look closer and you will see there is much more going on. The three bears are actually walking through a vast snowy forest. Where are they going? Who knows but I’m sure there's some hot porridge waiting there! There will only be 20 prints of the design on blue t-shirts exclusive and limited to this Kickstarter project.
#2 Dinosaur Vs Robot
T-shirt #4 #5 and #6 are titled Dinosaur Vs Robot, it’s all in the title really! An epic battle between two giants from different times. One is from the future, the other from the past. But who would win? Would it be the T-Rex with his powerful bite or the Robot with his Laser eyes? I’ll let you decide on your own outcome! There will only be 20 prints of the design on natural colour t-shirts exclusive and limited to this Kickstarter project.
I think I’d like to explore the Vs idea more, maybe make a Vs range of t-shirts with a whole bunch of characters going up against each other! Pirates, Zombies, Monsters, who knows? Maybe some of you could make suggestions on who you would like to see go to battle, all being well it could be my next design!
Please be aware that the computer generated images are of models wearing size Small T-shirts. These are representations only and may differ slightly from the physical product in print colour and scale of image depending on your selected fit size.
Thank you for looking at my page and my advance thanks to any of you who decide to make a pledge and support my goal! All comments are welcome, I would love to hear your thoughts on my work and ideas.
