THE TWO OF US have been collaborating on projects together for the past 5 years. We met on our first day of film school and instantly bonded over a mutual weirdness. We’ve been inseparable ever since.
THIS FILM began as most of our videos do: as a funny idea we thought up while hanging out one day. While most people would probably laugh at said idea and then carry on with their everyday lives, we got to work creating a storyline, character bios, and drafting up a rough script.
Over the course of two weeks we knew exactly where we wanted to film, who would play each role, and how we wanted the finished product to look.
Since then, we’ve confirmed our locations, scheduled the actors (many of which you’ll recognize from our previous work), and assembled our production crew.
We don’t aim to create a film with a deep, emotional message that leaves viewers crying and contemplating their entire existence. We believe life is funny. ‘Truth is stranger than fiction’ as they say! Most of our comedy is based on things we’ve observed in our everyday lives. We often satirize these things in a loving and comical way. This film is no different.
If you can’t already tell, we both share a similar sense of humour, and often get inspiration from sketch comedy shows such as Portlandia, and Saturday Night Live.
The rest of our CAST & CREW includes:
Danny Samman , Zack Bryson , Justin Hebert , Jaymie Feltrin , Emily Poirier , Emma Shwartzentruber , and Adrian Rhodes
Your financial support will go towards the entire production of our short film.
Equipment: Lucky for us, we already own a majority of the equipment needed for this project. However, there’s still some miscellaneous gear that’s necessary for the production of the film. The funds donated will help us fill in the missing gaps and enable us to do our job in a safe and creative way.
Locations: We’ve selected two beautiful locations in Stratford, Ontario where we plan to shoot the film. Each location has a rental fee, which is where approximately 40% of the proceeds will go. We promise it’s worth it, as they’ll ultimately be the backdrop of the film!
Food: 100% of our cast and crew are family and/or friends that are generously donating their time to us. We’d like to provide them with food and coffee so they stay healthy, happy, and well-energized on the day of shooting. There’s 10 of us in total for a one day shoot.
Props & Costumes: We’re pretty thrifty in this department. We usually gather what we can or ask to borrow any necessary props, but this script is tricky. We need very specific instruments and costumes that we may not be able to find. We’ve budgeted a portion of the money to go towards costumes and prop-rentals.
Don’t be shy! Please reach out to us if you have any questions at all.
We’d love to hear from you!
We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and support.

Risks and challenges
This is a passion project. Although we're incredibly excited and dedicated to this film, we both have full-time jobs that take up a lot of our time and energy.
A possible risk is that the project may be delayed due to scheduling conflicts and lack of free time on our hands. But fear not! For we are excellent procrastinators and always seem to find a way to work on the things that truly matter to us...which is stuff like this!
If by chance the project does get delayed, we doubt it would be by more than a month or two.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
